Good day to you all family,i hope the week is starting off fresh and new for you because mine is going on really well. I want to welcome you all to my blog and first content of the Creative Sunday and I do hope my content meets you well

Above is a light I got from one of my customers to repair, it's a beautiful wall bracket light, and to inform you all too (I AM AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER AND ALSO A MOBILE TECHNICIAN - But this is aside me being a Marine engineer) I do both micro and macro repair on PCBs. And as an electrical engineer, what we do most times are remove and install faulty electrical components. We hardly go deeper into repairing the mini mother boards inside, but I took the pain to engage in the repair of that component for a customer of mine because of how he was complaining and also explained his situations to me

I set out on the journey, it was more difficult than thought. It took me almost 2 days of work but I didn't consider those, because I was taking it to be an adventure i was heading on and it will pay more in the long run, because if I wanted to charge him based on the cost of my labour it may be more than the amount of getting a new one. And this is the more reason electricians just replace rather than repair some electrical components

It was a long battle of testing, changing of chokes and reading of lines on the panel. I actually went to the electrical shop about 3 times to first get a 6 watts choke which did not light as usual, then went back to get double light choke, and finally I got what I wanted which was a double 9 watts choke. I had to keep going to and fro the shop because the light wasn't lighting as usual because of the un-matching choke, it only displayed one color (Yellow 🟡)

After final testing and confirmation, i soldered the double 9 watts choke to the light and I got my final result. When I powered, it was working fine and the light also had it's multi color too...

This is the blue 🔵 display of the light, and I'll call this the final testing phase of the light repair and this time it worked perfectly

And this is also the yellow 🟡 display, also a final confirmation phase. Plus the light has got a double display of both blue and yellow
So what is left is to go fix it at his house and see how it works also. And I do hope my customer get a satisfied work and also it leads to more work in the long and short run. Thank you very much for coming this far and I do hope my content met you well. Till next time stay safe

Wow really good job bro. Sometimes I forget that this things can be repaired and throw mine away when they get spoilt.

It works though, just that when you consider the cost of repair of little components like that, you'll just decide to get a new one instead

Thanks for stopping by ✌️❤️
