Our Thoughts on the HIVE Price | $1B Market Cap Justified, is $50B Possible?
Is it possible to see HIVE 50x from the current price of $2.5? We've seen a massive rally in the past week on HIVE and this has left many wondering about the current value of HIVE and where it can go in the future.
As a long-time Hiver, I think many of us have the same perspective that HIVE is severely undervalued.
Under the new context of WEB3 emerging all over the Crypto ecosystem and even in normal circles, it seems that Hive has positioned itself perfectly in the middle of where people are trying to get involved with Web3.
In this clip from yesterday's AMA/Roundtable, we go around the table and talk about the current HIVE price, market cap and whether or not we see HIVE rise far beyond the current $1B market cap seen today.

I see no reason why it should not be possible, but I think the learning curve should be bit less steep to onboard nee users… If that could be handled correctly and wisely, there are no boundaries to hold Hive back!
Of course it is ! Well in relative terms to other crypto projects it is. In absolute term this is another question.
Hive deserves to be a Top 100, then on that ranking term I am not surprised 😉
To get to $50bn I think Hive needs to become the next Facebook. There needs to be some way of generating advertising revenue like Facebook does and use that to support the value of the coin. One thing that Facebook has that Hive doesn't is privacy. Whilst you might question the intentions of Facebook Inc. Its users can choose who sees their content. Perhaps once a public blockchain cracks that nut with day encryption we could perhaps see broader takeup
it will never be the next facebook, but the play to earn model lends itself to the blog to earn model. The sheeple will need to do what ever they can to earn crypto. Blogging on hive will be one of many things people will be doing. South Korea is absolutely all over crypto right now. Most of the volume throughout the world is coming from SK on many things. They like Hive which is great.
Great point about SK. They tend to be technical innovators and are often earlt trend setters for mass adoption of next generation technology. We have a very interesting couple of yeard coming up and Hive is very well placed.

Hive has the legs to outperform many other crypto projects just by what it offers. I think $50 Billion is achievable over the next 5-10 years and Leofinance will play a major part like many other tribes will.

It should be possible - I am trying to see, if we can add #HIVE to http://www.rocketfuelblockchain.com/ - one of our product recently partnered with them to support crypto payment. If HIVE can be used as crypto payment, then it will be massive potential. @waivio can greatly benefit from that, because people can spend the same money they earn from reviews.
Just imagining the market cap at $50B gives goosebumps!
Right now, if it reaches that number, Hive will overthrown XRP for the 7th position (Who know Hive is better than XRP)
In the years to come, when we see BTC at $500k, it'll be possible to see Hive mooning at $50B Marketcap!

I think that a $5 price for Hive is realistic, but probably we would pull back from there. But anything behind that I am not sure will hold for long, maybe just a spike, sellout, and then come back on Earth.
Great last AMA topics and always nice to see the team extend the topics and share some insight which we all agree, but is better when we hear it from others as well!

In all honesty 50 billion is quite lofty, but looking through the top 100 Cryptocurrencies, we are worthy of a place near the top 10 which based on today's valuations would be 25 billion market cap.
Will we ever reach that? That would mean $62 Hive remember. Well in the world of Cryptocurrency, I wouldn't bet against it and we seem to be making the right noises lately and gaining more and more traction, so for me the next milestone is $5 Hive and I honestly don't think that's too far away. I would forecast a peak to that level before Q2 2022.
Still holding above the $2 mark currently is a good sign. Long-term I don't see any reason why not. More importantly, will LEO appreciate off of the back of HIVE in time... is a very interesting thought...

For me, I believe that it's possible to see hive's value increase due to the fact that we have a lot of its latent potential still untapped
