There is a windy weather in Çeşme. The temperature is showing 6 degrees Celsius.

The news of the devastating earthquake in the southeast of Türkiye as of Monday has been quite sad. My thoughts and hopes are with the families who have lost loved ones, and with those who have been injured or displaced from their homes.

The people of these cities affected by the earthquake are faced with the unexpected task of rebuilding their businesses, their lives in the aftermath of the disaster.

It is very important to stand in solidarity with the people affected by the earthquake and showing them that they are not alone and that the world is with them as they navigate this difficult time and begin the process of healing and rebuilding. The similar situation could have happened to us, for reasons beyond our individual control.

Sometimes the situations around us can be out of our control.

I would want to write positive and hopeful sentences about the future in this post. But, a part of my mind is constantly busy for 6 days with the situation of the people in the affected zone.

I wish for safety and quick recovery to the earthquake victims, and hope that the kindness and compassion shown by the community will help them to heal and rebuild.
