At the pinnacle of one's life, facing fears and conquering them in order to leap to the next level is paramount. Success comes with commitment and endurance. To shrink back and never overcome some adversities mean one will likely not address any shortcomings for fear of failure. I've dreamed of flying numerous times, always high in the air overlooking some unfamiliar landscape. I can't feel any restraints or support as I glide toward an empty space. Then I wake. I never got to see the reason for my flight or where my destination was. Strange. But then I've always had unusual dreams, to say the least.
I wanted to share this microfiction story for the prompt "colors". It reminds me of ?. A ZAPFIC50 story is told in exactly 50 words. The challenge was created by @felt.buzz.

Below is my story.
Lionel stood at the edge. He'd never backed away from a challenge.
Now looking down, hundreds of questions attacked his resolve.
Patience wasn't his best attribute, but this was his first time.
With eyes closed, he prayed for success, however short paragliding was.
On descent, vibrant colors calmed his nerves.
