It's time for the ZAPFIC Monday challenge for Week #45. The prompt this Week 45 "computing" presented the opportunity to remind investors to complete thorough research before investing their hard-earned funds. Even then, situations may arise that cause you to regret entering a deal. Sometimes though, word of mouth may help in warning of impending or improper practices. All advice should be listened to, then investigate further.

My story is below:

"Can't put my finger on it, but that investment firm might go bankrupt."

Nikolaus recalled an exchange he overheard.

His extended hand pulled his friend close. "Steer clear."

A year later, that firm was convicted in an offshore Ponzi scheme.
