Asean Hive Community Challenge #56 - How Do You Beat the Heat My Entry

Hello everybody,

For me, nothing beats the bloody hot weather we are now experiencing here in Southeast Asia with a refreshing bath before bedtime plus with newly laundried beddings and the pillow cases with lemon scent, sleeping comfortably and with the electric fan on.

Though here in our area not so hot because of our green surroundings. With lots of trees at the sides and back of our house plus our tiny house roof is made of concrete not roofing sheets that made most houses feel the hot atmosphere.

Just this week I bought an electric fan because the old one retired already. We installed an air conditioner in one of our rooms plus another one in our son's house but the result was disheartening our electric bill consumption was way up beyond our budget. So, we do not use the aircon anymore just for display.

My other ways to cool myself especial at noon time I opened the refrigator and stand in front for 30 seconds while my face I place almost inside the freezer to feel the coolness hahaha weird eh but what a nice cool feeling!

Then, when suddenly poweroutage occurred that happened about 1pm to 4pm in the afternoon the other day. Solution, me and hubby just stayed inside the vàn with the aircon on while we were each busy with our phone. I was blogging and reading billionaires romance novel while hubby busy viewing youtube. Thankful the van uses diesel fuel so it is cheaper compared to using the gas generator.

Also other ways to beat the heat I ordered fruit shake from our neighbor likewise supporting their home business at same time, with less sugar of course.

Cooling ourselves is just easy peasy with all the amenities on hand, just use our creativity all is well and achieve our relax mode.

Thank you @justinparke with this another exciting challenge here in Asean Hive Community.

That is all folks, thanks for dropping by...

Yes Mom taking a bath will surely ease the heat from super hot weather we experience now. I miss being there in your place, surrounded by those trees.

I like that standing in front of an open fridge hahah the weather in the Philippines nowadays is undeniably hot! Sweat all over hahah but it's better that to much rain. :D

I have been known to close the freezer door very slowly on a hot day too, perhaps sticking my face quite close to the interior 😉. A fruit shake is good idea too, we always try to keep some bananas frozen so that we can make a shake without ice when it's hot. Electric bills can be depressing sometimes. Buying an aircon is easy, but the monthly costs are much more difficult to deal with, I totally agree.
