The Excesses of TOO MUCH FREEDOM

Freedom is usually expressed as total and unrestricted permission to act with respect to a law or an object, which could be animate or inanimate. Freedom can thus be viewed as partial or total, which can influence the extent to which a deed is executed. In the context of this prompt, "too much freedom" by implication refers to the exercise of freedom in an exaggerated manner, i.e., beyond the purview of general acceptance.

Recently at my workplace, we were given a resumption time of 8 a.m., but with an extension of thirty minutes grace period, meaning we have to resume work at the latest at 8:30 a.m. as a kind gesture of allowance before the red line would be ruled on the register. A good number of staff, including me, barely made that 8:30 a.m. deadline, and at some point, we saw the human resources manager as being too extreme whenever he crossed the line by 8:30. That is an example of liberty taken to an extreme, as the staff may not mind not having to abide by such restrictions.
The military and uniform personnel are generally considered principled and orderly in their conduct, and hence, they work under some level of restriction. Their freedom is thus constrained by the ethics and conduct binding them.

Freedom in itself is not bad, and human beings should enjoy that benefit as free citizens within the confines of the law. The laws have been constructed as a guide to our conduct in society, and you will agree with me that without laws guiding us, the vices in society would be massive.

Too much freedom may exist in the context of domestic homes, for example, within the family or among relatives and friends. This is hardly possible in the purview of general society, as it would mean one life is more precious than the others.

A restricted freedom would definitely be much more appreciated than that exercised as "too much freedom," as it helps to level every human with another.
In the context of too much freedom, a number of effects can occur. These may include:

Pride: Life has been viewed in terms of what one has in comparison to another. When there is too much freedom for a particular sect of people, there will be injustice in conduct between both parties.

Oppression: Too much freedom is bound to create a divide between those with the upper hand and those who have less of that privilege. Human nature would rather bring pride to those with too much freedom than cause them to inflict oppression on those with less freedom.

Rioting: Once the above ensues, it would not be strange to begin to experience riots between both factions.

Freedom is good, but too much of it has more negative effects than positive ones. It would be wise to treat one another equally and live peacefully.

Right from creation, man has lived in a restricted environment.

Thank you for reading. I would love to have your comments and contributions 🤗

The best gift you can give to a man is freedom. When a man finds freedom, his ability to make his immediate environment suitable for living a coexistence is put to work.

But at best, man needs restrictions to make him work within the arm it of his freedom, else he will destroy everything that freedom has brought.

Living in Canada I see so many abuses of freedom. People are free to choose their gender and the public pays. Free to abuse drugs and society pays. Free to express opinions and weird views become commonplace. I love freedom but it is easily abused

Too much liberty makes it difficult to abide by the rules.
I wonder how possible it will be to strike a balance giving people the freedom they need and expecting them to abide diligently by the rules laid down within such setting.
