Most people buy Chili from the market, but here on our farm, we grow our own fresh and healthy Chili from planting to harvest.

This is how we start on the farm. First, we clean the land where we will plant. We remove all the weeds and make sure the soil is ready. We usually use chicken manure or other natural fertilizers to make the plants stronger. Then we prepare the seeds. After a few days, when the seedlings grow a little we carefully plant them in the soil.

After they are in the ground, we wait a few days or a week and then we add fertilizer to help the plants grow strong and healthy. We also start spraying the plants to protect the leaves from worms.
Applying fertilizer is very important because it gives the plants the nutrients they need. Also start spraying the plants so the leaves can grow continuously and stay safe from insects.
They use these sticks to hold up the nylon and to tie the plants with strong twine or string made from sack fibers. This helps the plants stay standing even when it is windy because they have something to hold on to. Tying each plant carefully takes time, but it is worth it because the plants can grow straight and strong.
There are small fruits already, it means the plants are definitely safe and healthy.
This is the most awaited moment, Harvest time! Every week we carefully pick only the red fruits, leaving the green ones to continue growing. We make sure to remove the ripe fruits gently so the plants are not damaged.
My siblings have already checked for any rejected ones to make sure everything is fine before we sell them to the buyers.
That is how life is on the farm. We must take care of the plants so they give a lot of fruits and stay healthy. Sometimes we lose money when prices are low and sometimes we earn when prices are high. We never give up because farming is not just work, it is our life and this is where we get our food.
