Senior Aged Photographers | #Monomad Challenge

A couple of months ago we visited Santo Niño de Cebu Church together with my wife, as we roam around the premises of Santo Niño we were a bit amazed by these old men with lenses. There were a quite few of them and can easily be identified as these old men were wearing vests. Out of curiosity, I asked one of the old men and to my surprise, these old men were actually professional photographers who offer photo services to churchgoers as well as tourists alike.

They were in fact a group of professional photographers and they were all in their senior years already. They were making a living actually for about 100 Php or 2 USD more or less you can have two copies of print-out photos with different backgrounds, it's very nostalgic because it feels like the old days when you can actually hold your picture. And so I asked one of the old men if I can take a photo of him while taking photos of someone who asks for his photo service.

He even told me that it only takes a few minutes before they can hand out the hard copy.

I even took photos of some of his colleagues and most of those who availed of their service were couples and families. Well, it's a great souvenir and remembrance anyway.

And so my wife became a fan in an instant, so he asked one of the old men whose name is Nonoy if she can have a photo of him and without hesitation, Sir Nonoy agreed to do so. So I hurriedly took a photo of them since Sir Nonoy had to take another photo as someone asked for his photo service.

Above photos were all captured by yours truly using Sony A6000 with a 16-50mm Sony kit lens and these photos will be my entry as well for the #monomad challenge of @monochromes.
