HL W68E3: THE WORTH OF YOUR MONEY - CELEBRITY MONEY

I ll try to be straight in this post and not be sided in any way, but I l like to start by asking these questions.

What exactly is the worth of money itself?
For what reason would anyone want to leave their hard-earned currency in your hands or account number as the case may be?

I learnt early in life that a good business is such that will make people exchange their money for whatever value you have to offer legally and without any form of cohesion.

If people would make money this way, it would be based on an exchange of value for value, however, this has not always been so growing up and the reason is that, what we seem to attach value to changes, but the cost of the value remains the same.

What do I mean?, if you read further I believe you all catch my drift.

Back in the day, so much value was given to who so ever could solve a problem, everyone who failed at it was not given a dime, but once you solve it, you'll gain money, friends and a good reputation in society. It is even easier to "dash" such people's money in hopes that it will cycle back to them someday.

Back then, Doctors and School Teachers were seen in this light, They were celebrated because the teachers understood knowledge and could pass it down to their children, these were the days when education was also worshipped as a saviour from poverty, so the value a teacher had to offer was esteemed high and such was the regard and reputation given. The Doctors in this part of the world also fit this equation. Being able to cure a lot of diseases which could have taken the lives of people annoying to them having tried all sorts of traditional and religious advisors and failed two very much and a person who is a doctor with a good living and a good reputation. This was a much-valued offer to society and many who would receive such a value give anything at least to stay healthy or better still stay alive. So in this case if a Doctor Who treats a sick person who was probably thought to die due to an illness but rather reversed back to agile health such a doctor has offered value greater than life and so could even become a god. Yes, Doctors were called drugs in some parts of the world because they seem to be able to turn back the hands of time. Even the time of life.

But then what happened how did everything change all of a sudden?

Should We blame It on technology?

Or is it that knowledge increased so much that we no longer needed them?

Maybe a look at the life of a celebrity probably a footballer or a musician can help us balance this equation.

A professional footballer earns close to 300% more than a medical doctor or a teacher on average, we could say the same for a professional
musician as well.

But what value do they offer and today worth it?

I could say yes they do worth it.

To become a professional footballer one may have started playing football right from a young age and must have prevailed over peers and Shown great talent and skill as well as a character over the years to have been spotted and taken into the super leagues to shine.

The same is said of a musician who may have pushed his music from door-to-door hoping for some listening time and airing on radio stations. Praying for endorsement and sponsorship or even a record label. Many great music Collins go unseen and unknown and this might take a lot of years so I'm giving up to try other means of livelihood hoping to stay alive. But when they finally shine, they are seen to be rich and lavish, maintaining the celeb life and hoping their talents stay captivating.

Just as it took the doctor seven to eight years to master the knowledge and a few more years to master skills, the footballer also put in work and time to earn his status so did the music star.

And thanks to technology this talent can now be visible for everyone's palms with favourable algorithms and hopefully a good strategy.

Now to the big question I ask myself, Is It Fair?

The level of earning the Doctor or teacher or Celeb I'm not determined by the same factors for us to generalize and say that one is fair or one is not fair because they question you not still be balanced.

People will always choose what value they want based on their needs at a particular time and a particular place and anyone who has this value to offer gets paid.

Opportunity runs the world and anyone ready to offer what the world needs at that time wins.

If it's good teaching skills in a great school, all good surgical skills from a doctor or great football skills from a soccer player or great music from a singer/music producer.

Time and chance work for them all. Some Doctors and Teachers earn more than some celebs, it just depends on the level of value appreciation they get in a location.

To bring Nigeria into perspective, Nigerian Doctors are no longer valued as much as they used to, people only value their health when they are about to lose it or sadly when it's hard to get back. Probably because they have alternatives and they consider the high cost of health care.

In summary, work is done before value can be offered, value is given when value is offered in a valuable way.

yeah, regardless of the job that a person have, they all took a significant amount of time for each job to master and can only quantify the value when after it was offered.

Many times people don't see some of the sacrifices those players and singers went through, they just feel it's always luck, no it isn't. They risked their body to attain skills and tenacity for a 90minutes game that can change their lives forever. And yes they shined. They deserve it. We all just got to have more to offer.

Yeah, people only see those stuff and becomes easy to judge others and maybe it is also because of jealousy as they earned more

I love how showed the value of each of the professions. Nothing works without work but placing more value on one and neglecting others isn't a good way of creating a balanced scale. Great article.

Thank you for sharing, no doubt each side is paid for the worth of value being offered

Yeah..
It's just that you have to try to be located where your value is appreciated or offer value needed where you are.
Thanks for coming around Chief.
