Mi ciudad, en esta caso Caracas, es una la cual cuenta con muchas formas y contrastes que van desde edificios, grandes barrios y mucho verde. Hacer fotos desde la mirada más alta nos permite visualizar todo esto de una mejor manera, es simplemente apuntar con el objetivo y la cámara y enmarcar el momento para siempre. Ser fotógrafo en Caracas es fácil porque es un lugar que se quedó un poco en el tiempo con una estética muy de los ochenta y noventa y aunque eso no suene de la mejor manera a la hora de hacer fotos las mismas siempre quedan cargadas con sentimiento como de nostalgia.

My city, in this case Caracas, is one which has many forms and contrasts ranging from buildings, large neighborhoods and lots of green. Taking pictures from the highest point of view allows us to visualize all this in a better way, it is simply to point the lens and the camera and frame the moment forever. Being a photographer in Caracas is easy because it is a place that has remained a bit in time with a very eighties and nineties aesthetic and although that does not sound in the best way when taking pictures they are always loaded with a feeling of nostalgia.

Además de eso y como ya les comenté esta ciudad es bastante verde porque cuenta con una gran montaña que sirve como una protección natural. Todo esto ayuda a que orgánicamente veamos mucha naturaleza en los alrededores y que las miradas sean muchas frescas y no tanto la de una selva de concreto. Esto es lo bueno, que hay muchas opciones hacia donde apuntar con la cámara, nunca es aburrido lanzar unas fotos por acá, ya que hasta lo más mínimo como por ejemplo la luz o la posición de la nubes puede cambiar por completo una fotografía.

Besides that and as I already mentioned, this city is quite green because it has a large mountain that serves as a natural protection. All this helps us to organically see a lot of nature in the surroundings and the views are fresh and not so much that of a concrete jungle. This is the good thing, that there are many options where to point the camera, it is never boring to take a picture here, because even the smallest thing like the light or the position of the clouds can completely change a picture.

Y porqué no, también hice un par de fotos en blanco y negro. Y es que las fotos de este estilo para mi son mis preferidas porque evocan un sentimiento totalmente diferente al que sentimos cuando vemos una foto a color. Tienen una magia y una esencia muy especial. En fin, desde lo lejano y las alturas, así es una parte de Caracas.

And why not, I also took a couple of black and white photos. For me, black and white photos are my favorite because they evoke a totally different feeling than the one we feel when we see a color photo. They have a magic and a very special essence. Anyway, from afar and from the heights, this is what a part of Caracas looks like.

Y si, el Ávila tiene algo que a los que vivimos acá como que nos hipnotiza por más que sea una montaña más, una de las cosas es esa precisamente, la combinación de lo verde con lo urbano.
