FungiFriday / Mushroom Microporus

Hi everyone, I'm really looking forward to participating in this fungifriday frame. This is my first post for #fungifriday curated by @ewkaw

A little story about Indonesian nature...

Indonesia's natural resources in the form of animals and plants are very diverse, when compared to other tropical regions.
The diversity of flora can be seen from its tropical forests, both in the lowlands and highlands that cover more than half of Indonesia's land area.

In this forest is the place to live for most of the vines, trees of all sizes, wild animals to the types of algae, moss and mushrooms.

This time we will discuss mushrooms.
Fungi live in different places.
found in litter, soil, decayed wood and live logs.

Microporus or microporus xanthopus is a type of fungus from the Polyporaceae family.
This fungus lives in the fields of weathered logs and grows in groups.

The structure is shaped like an umbrella. smooth and shiny on the surface, the fruit cap is funnel-shaped dark brown and light brown at the edges. synonymous with beautiful brown gradations.
This mushroom is included in the type of mushroom that is not edible but also non-toxic and has been identified as having benefits as a source of drugs for inflammation and cardiovascular.
This fungus has an important role in the ecosystem, namely as a decomposer and a balancer for the diversity of forest species.
but there are also fungi that grow as parasites that live on live wood until they experience weathering.

Here, many types of Microporus mushrooms are found in rice fields and backyard gardens

See you on Friday again. I hope you enjoy my post
