Demencia.

Dementia.

He kept talking about how happy he was that he was on time for work. When he opened his desk drawer to get the key to the truck, he was petrified.....
He looked to both sides, he felt the sweat running from his forehead, it seemed like a waterfall that splashed his hands with a drop from his nose, from the writing near the window his partner Marcelo asked him if everything was in order, he could clearly see his discomfort, he swallowed saliva hard because it did not pass and he felt like he was drowning.
Seconds that seemed like hours and finally he looked up and painted a calm smile -everything is fine- he answered still with his nerves well hidden, his hand still in the drawer seemed to be joined with a powerful glue.
The happiness with which he had arrived had changed to extreme nervousness, Marcelo was still talking to him, however the words he was saying only sounded like an inaudible murmur, –are you listening to me?– exclaimed Marcelo to which the distracted Raimundo nodded his head without even having heard a word.
-What did you say to me last– asked Raimundo to prevent his friend from approaching.
-Amyra, I was telling you that Amyra hasn't arrived yet,–Marcelo muttered as he put on his reflective vest.
-I don't think she will arrive–whispered Raimundo, still with his hand in the drawer, –hurry up, I can't find the Keys– he exclaimed to his friend with a lump in his throat.

Marcelo came out then and at last Raimundo could open the drawer completely, the keys were tangled in Amyra the secretary's hair, her head was inside the drawer and Raimundo in his drunkenness at night had forgotten his crime, the somewhat diffuse images came as flashes, the sinister smile settled on his lips, he began to think where he had left the rest of the body until Marcelo's shout reminded him where he had put it.
