Hello ladies of Hive, today I want to participate in the #91 contest of LOH community, to answer question number 1 "Name a song, any song, happy or sad, that stirs your heart and soul every time you listen to it. What memories, feelings, emotions and images does the song bring back to you? Is there a story that goes along with the song?".

La canción de la que quiero hablar no toca directamente mis emociones, es más bien, una canción que ha influido en mi forma de ver la vida y mi forma de actuar. Muchas veces pensamos que el futuro será mejor, que la vida nos aguarda momentos grandiosos y esperamos por ello, soñamos con lo que queremos hacer con un bonito futuro, y mientras tanto la vida nos pasa, sin percatarnos de lo valioso del momento presente.

The song I want to talk about does not directly touch my emotions, it is rather, a song that has influenced my way of seeing life and my way of acting. Many times we think that the future will be better, that life awaits us great moments and we hope for it, we dream of what we want to do with a beautiful future, and meanwhile life passes us by, without realizing how valuable the present moment is.

El presente es una canción compuesta por Julieta Venegas, que nos habla precisamente de valorar el momento presente, lo plantea como lo único que verdaderamente tenemos, lo único tangible y nos hace entender la importancia de disfrutarlo, porque como la misma letra de la canción dice “quién nos dice que la vida nos dará el tiempo necesario”, una frase que me toca el corazón, después de haber atravesado por una pandemia que le quitó la vida a muchos de forma inesperada, una ruptura del destino preparado para cada uno, pues no era el momento de ninguno de quienes fallecieron.

The present is a song composed by Julieta Venegas, which speaks to us precisely about valuing the present moment, it presents it as the only thing we truly have, the only tangible thing and makes us understand the importance of enjoying it, because as the lyrics of the song say "who tells us that life will give us the time we need", a phrase that touches my heart, after having gone through a pandemic that took the lives of many unexpectedly, a break in the destiny prepared for each one, because it was not the time for any of those who died.

En tiempos de pandemia, esta canción me ayudó mucho a sobrellevar el encierro, y a valorar más el espacio seguro que compartía con mi familia, frente a un mundo que parecía desmoronarse en el exterior, y la creación de una vacuna era lo único que daba esperanzas para volver a la normalidad. Sin embargo, me enfoqué en disfrutar mí día a día en compañía de mi familia, y no entregar mi bienestar al pensamiento de que algún día la catástrofe del Covid-19 cesaría o que jamás terminaría y que jamás volveríamos a la normalidad.

In times of pandemic, this song helped me a lot to cope with the confinement, and to value more the safe space I shared with my family, in the face of a world that seemed to be crumbling on the outside, and the creation of a vaccine was the only thing that gave me hope for a return to normalcy. However, I focused on enjoying my day-to-day life in the company of my family, and not surrendering my well-being to the thought that someday the Covid-19 catastrophe would cease or that it would never end and that we would never return to normal.

Con una nueva forma de ver la vida y valorar más el momento presente, después de la pandemia empecé a disfrutar más de los momentos sencillos, y a agradecer lo que tengo, algo que también influyó en mi vida social, llevándome a decir que que sí prácticamente a todas las peticiones razonables de mis amistades, de cualquier índole que antes seguramente hubiese rechazado o no me habría interesado, pues hay que disfrutar de los momentos, no tenemos la vida comprada.

With a new way of looking at life and valuing the present moment more, after the pandemic I began to enjoy the simple moments more, and to be grateful for what I have, something that also influenced my social life, leading me to say yes to practically all reasonable requests from my friends, of any kind that before I would surely have rejected or would not have been interested in, because we must enjoy the moments, we do not have a bought life.

Me encantan las canciones de Julieta Venegas porque siempre invitan a superar y a dejar atrás la tristeza, a superar las dificultades, a aceptar que no todo en la vida es color de rosa y seguir adelante con la mejor vibra. Espero puedas oír esta canción con atención, y te deje un pensamiento positivo e incluso una perspectiva distinta hacia la vida.

I love Julieta Venegas' songs because they always invite you to overcome and leave sadness behind, to overcome difficulties, to accept that not everything in life is rosy and move forward with the best vibes.
