In this era, holidays are one of the necessities of life for humans, especially for today's young generation. There are many ways to go on vacation, some people think going to the mall for shopping is their version of a vacation. There are also those who like swimming or sunbathing on the beach, and others like nature activities such as climbing mountains or enjoying the cold air in the hills.

Beautiful scenery is not only good for us to post on Instagram or become content on tiktok but is very good for our mental health. Every time we go to a village, or an area that has lots of trees and the weather is cool, we are also healthier and happier than just looking at the concrete walls of the building. This time, I want to share my stories and experiences while visiting and vacationing in Tor Sibohi Nauli Sipirok.

Tor Sibohi Nauli

Tor Sibohi Nauli is located in Sipirok – Padang Sidimpuan Street, Huta Suhut III Village which is administratively located in the district. Sipirok, South Tapanuli district. Sipirok is about 350 km from Medan City, the city where I live. Many foreign tourists come to Tor Sibohi as a place to rest when they will continue their journey to Bukit Tinggi – West Sumatra. Tor Sibohi Nauli is a villa and lodging area that combines tranquility, beautiful views and a cool natural atmosphere. This area has an area of about 5 hectares, and is surrounded by rice fields, forests, and green grass.

Tor Sibohi is the first choice for guests or hotels around South Tapanuli. Tor Sibohi has been open since the 1980s and is the choice of many people to vacation and spend the weekend. The owner of this place is the family of Raja Inal Siregar (Governor of North Sumatra 1988 – 1998) and is still managed by the child concerned. In addition, many officials stay here when visiting South Tapanuli.

Beautiful Natural Scenery

Tor Sibohi has several corners that have very beautiful views. One of them is from Tor Sibohi, we can see the scenery of the Batang Toru forest landscape and the Sibual Buali Nature Reserve which is still beautiful and natural. If interested, Tor Sibohi can help and provide local guides if we want to travel or research to the Nature Reserve. If lucky and have enough energy, they will take us to Harrete, which is an active mountain crater and hot springs containing sulfur.

In the Tor Sibohi Nauli area, we can also see the newly planted rice fields. This rice field belongs to Tor Sibohi Nauli, the reason it is maintained is because many foreign tourists who stay here like the view of this rice field. On that basis, Tor Sibohi continues to maintain and keep this rice field productive. Maybe, for Asian people, rice fields are not an interesting thing, but many people from other countries or continents are amazed at the sight of green rice fields.

Tor Sibohi Nauli is located in a hilly area and its construction is in harmony with nature. We can see the edge of the road a lot of tall and big trees that make us very comfortable to surround this place.

Angkola Traditional House – Bagas Godang

At the beginning of the story, I discussed the concept of lodging that combines nature and culture. From various photos, you can see and prove it. But, what about culture? Tor Sibohi Nauli has several cottages that have a design in the form of an Angloka traditional house which is also called Bagas Godang.

This cottage is in the form of a house on stilts with a roof using palm leaves. In addition, these cottages are built using wood and boards. For your information, Tor Sibohi Nauli was built in the 1980s and the price of wood in Sipirok is cheaper than the price of cement or concrete.

Okay, this is my story this time. Hopefully it can increase knowledge and become valuable information for all of you;.

Hears! Thank you for giving us a look around this part of your country, I think the view is too beautiful and it looks super relaxing for vacation. Currently, China, Japan and Korea are the most popular destinations, so it seems perfect to me that it shows us that they are not the only tourist destinations in Asia 😃✨
