If it is for the benefit then you won't.
Greetings everyone.
I hope everyone is in good shape, starting with, is an appreciation for the consistency I have experienced in hivelearners community as a result of the dedication of the admin, moderators and also the member of this wonderful community. A volunteer is someone whose activities are rendered out of free will, it is funny when some individuals volunteer for something and they end up asking for payment when the task is finished. If someone is ready to render a helping hand, it should not be for the fact that you would be expecting something in return.
Several times I have been in position where I had to play my part by volunteering to help, one of which I will share my experience.
The experience.
It was on a Sunday evening where I heard a sudden noise around my locality, I rushed to witness what was happening and realized it was a fatal accident. Seeing how the situation was, the victim was still lying by the road side.
The one that caused the accident didn't sustain any injury while the other was severely injured. Reaching there everyone was only looking at the man, no one to help. The victim was bleeding seriously and I couldn't hold it again. I now said this is a Rural area and things are happening this way.
It's not like in Urban areas where everyone is a total stranger. They all stood looking, saying they can't recognize the person. Must recognition be made before proper action is taken? I asked myself. This bleeding may lead to death.
The mouth region was really damaged, I had to volunteer to take the man to the hospital. Getting to the hospital, the nurses around now asked who was to make payment and other things. Since some of the nurses knew me, I had to plead with them to start the treatment first and they accepted while I looked for a way to resolve the payment.
Since I knew who caused the accident, I looked for the person so he can take charge of the bills till when the family of the injured person will locate him. That happened successfully since I had to let hold of the motorcycle of the person who caused the accident.
I couldn't go to the hospital again since I was informed that he was taken good care of till the family located him. From what I was told, that since he was getting better the family had to transfer him to a nearby health center where they can easily take care of him. I then released the motorcycle to the other person and that was how the whole thing ended. When I later asked I was told he was fine completely and was happy I had to carry out the task.
This was how the whole thing happened, if I was thinking of the benefit I wouldn't have gone through that stress. Up till now the man has not looked for a way to see who took him to the hospital neither has his family.
The significant of the experience.
It does not necessarily have to be with a price tag before one initiates the idea of volunteering. Just try and play your part in where you can.
Thank you for reading.
I am @isaacngore.

This experience of yours is really different.
I felt the reality and it's so so good to know that there are still good people on the face of the earth.
What you said is exactly what happens, in the sense that people don't want to render help to people they don't know!
That accident victim could have died and that's how people would have watched him die without doing anything.
You have done a great work dear friend and your reward is great.
Have a great day pal.
Thank you so much for taking time to read my content. I just hope people can see the need to carry out a selfless service.
Do have a great day too friend
I hope people see the need too. this is such a great post to go through as I was educated from your blog.
I so much appreciate the nice words @obaro.
Thanks for the amazing feedback 🙏🏻
you are welcome dear friend.
😊😊
According to a Japanese tv series that I've watched, when there are a lot of people and somebody is seriously hurt, the possibility that of one helping the victim is very low. The logic here is that each of those people will be thinking that someone in the crowd will be helping the victim and that is not them.
On the other hand, if the incident is witnessed by a single person, he/she would have no choice and think that no one would help but him/her.
I don't know if this psychological analysis is true but it seems it holds a ground.
I've seen a lot CCTV/dashcam footage similar cases to your story (accidents, kidnapping, assassination, etc.) and people just stood up doing nothing. In your case, you did an excellent job helping the victim and even making sure that the person who is responsible answer for it.
!1UP
Exactly what happened there. Sure analysis just that people are now scared of helping this days even when the person is alone because of the unforseen circumstances that may result in the future leading to sometimes police cases that will be draining. I couldn't hold it that was why I volunteered and the lucky thing was the nurses saw my point and started treatment without any prior deposit.
Thanks for reading boss.
What you did is an evidence that there are still people who are willing to help other people in need when others won't.
Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback, it's an encouragement to try my best in helping others. If everyone can imagine themselves in different situations that will require a helping hand, I think they will see the need to help.
You're very much welcome. 😊

I won't want to blame those people who were looking at the man because they might be scared of helping and in that process, the man might give up, and it becomes something else. But you did it out of love, not minding what could happen next.
Such help is rare but whoever take such risk should be applauded just like you. Volunteering is something you do out of your own volition and helping other people who really need it.
Yes it is true. I was happy it didn't lead to any other complicated case.
Thank you for reading my post friend
Yes,you don’t have to do a lot,a little can mean a lot to people.
Yeah!!
Sure one @mercysugar, thank you so much for reading
Its possible in this present clime for someone to come upon a scene of accident and not lift a hand to help. This is majorly because of the kind of system we have here where good acts might likely be rewarded with punishment.
So doing what you did, I know it took a lot. And it was not easy at all.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you boss for reading, the truth is one has to be a bit careful though. The locality just made me do it.
