Terrifying Moments - Episode 2

Anyway, I decided to take the story a little bit closer to the end. Hope you like it.

After spending almost an hr combing through the market we gathered 80% of our project-related items. The motor to run the conveyor belt we couldn’t afford. Since the market was near my friend's house we all decided that it was better to assemble the project there. The sun was going down, we hardly had 16hrs to submit the project.
It was evening. 1700Hrs. There was a rule in the house we were to be home before 1800Hrs. And all I was left with is 1hr. Now my fight is against time. We all scrambled and started working on the pieces to put in a presentable way. The box Cutting is done. The painting is done. Now all that is left is to place them on the 4x6 piece of cardboard. And need to connect with the red-colored zero-watt bulb to create the furnace effect. Perfect. The only thing that was missing is Conveyor Belt. The project would have been a lot better if there was at least one moving piece in the entire setup. Everything was stationary. It was like something a group of school kids would put in the last hr.
We were ready to pack and go home, and that's when my friend had a brilliant idea that could save us from embarrassment. He had an old tape recorder with a functioning motor that can be used for the conveyor belt. Without a second thought, we start dismantling the project so that we can install the conveyor belt. But first, we need to get the motor from the tape recorder. Not sure what was election process but I was elected to open the tape recorder and disconnect the motor. The options were to smash the recorder and risk damaging the motor or to unscrew the tape recorder using a tester or screwdriver. My friend went to his home which is nearby to get the screwdriver and the rest of us were busy cutting my friend's elder sister's dupatta into ribbons to act as belt. No bothering about the consequences for we were at war.
Finally, my friend returned with the screwdriver. Flathead Screwdriver, Number 7. Best for installing electric sockets and opening large appliances. Not suitable for Star screws. Still, I stepped up for the job and did what needed to be done. I Jammed the screwdriver into the small gap and slowly started to drive the screwdriver in so that I can open the cover and get to the motor. Slowly to avoid any damage to the component I work with. Inch by inch I covered the entire casing of the Tape recorder. I finally was able to pull the back cover apart. And the fruit of my labor was inside that tape recorder. I removed the Circuit board, cut the cords, and handed the motor to my friend. While closing the casing. I heard the humming sound of the motor. It was spinning and so was the conveyor belt. Finally some good news. We jumped with joy.

That’s when I saw the time on the wall clock. 2045Hrs.
I was 10KMs away from home. The last bus will leave by 2100Hrs after the Island, says good night, and sleeps till sunrise. No Transportation Pvt or govt.

I wasn't late by 3hrs. I was Missing.
