I once went to a comic book convention -it was great fun. I even got to see Spider-Man, Superman and Wonder Woman do a Q&A .... It was a panel I'll never forget!

The local Comic-Con convention was strangely held at a YMCA this year. That wasn’t well communicated because of the new events coordinator. They had senior swimming at the same time and as they were getting ready to do aqua therapy for rheumatoid arthritis, poor Betty got scared by the guy playing juggernaut and fell into the water. It ended up being a Deadpool by the time they fished her out.

One time I went to a local comedy club and saw a comedian perform. They weren't that funny, but I give them an "A" for effort. They Did a real stand-up job.

At the height on WWII, the famous comic book creator Stan Lee wrote his first comic book, which was never published. Some of the characters being fought by the superhero were Japanese fighters who pretended to be Kamikaze, but fooled their enemies into thinking they died so that they would be able to launch a surprise attack, a clever con. He called these fighters Kami-Con.

By the 1950s, comic books were largely attributed to comic book companies, rather than to individual authors. When the famous comic book creator Stan Lee was hired by a major company, his impact was so significant that his name resonated through the decades as one of the most famous creators of all time. His breakthrough was truly a Marvel.

One of my patients was a comedian. He came to me with a lot of knee pain, and through some X-rays, we discovered that he had tears in the ligaments of both of his knees (he claimed that this was from all the time he spent trying to "please" his network's producers, but that's another story for another time). I told him that, for the foreseeable future, he would have to sit down when performing his routines. Thus, he became a sit-down comic.

A group of thieves sneaked into a comic book convention, pretending to be comedians so that they could distract people while stealing valuable items, which they would later sell off. Due to their ingenuity and cleverness, they successfully did this numerous times and never got caught. Some considered them the most efficacious con-men in the comic business. Indeed, they were pros at comic-cons.
