I choose a memoir book today for reviewing it which is called as "Eat, Pray, Love". This is a memoir which is written by Elizabeth Gilbert, published in 2006. The book chronicles the author's journey of self-discovery and healing after a difficult divorce. Here I'll share few points...

Here you go,

  1. In the very first section of this book, the author only talk about Eat as the book name suggests where she travels to Italy. She explored the art of Italian cuisine and indulges in the pleasure of food. She wrote very well about her experiences in this book, she learns to embrace the joys of life and nourish her body and soul.

  2. In the second section of the book, she talked about PRAY. Gilbert travels to India, where she spends time in an ashram seeking spiritual growth and self-reflection. She explores numerous different types of spiritual practices such as meditation and yoga. She develops a deeper connection to the world and understanding of herself in India.

  3. In the final section of this book, Gilbert goes to Bali, Indonesia. She finds love and learns to open her heart again here. She develops a close friendship with a healer and experiences a profound spiritual connection. Through this journey, she discovers the importance of love and balance in her life.

This book is not too lengthy to read because the author explores themes of healing and personal growth. She searched the actual meaning of happiness through her journey to different countries after divorce. She shares her vulnerabilities, fears, and triumphs, inspiring readers to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery and self-acceptance.
