Special Lunch Cooked By Aunt!

Another 10 days had passed without me typing anything at Hive except curating daily. It was hectic towards the end of October because I was preparing various stuffs to go Singapore with my parents and eldest sister. Finally, I am back to Malaysia and let's resume posting at Hive.

More on my Singapore trip another round.

No matter how busy, I still decided to visit my Aunt. She told us the other week that she would cook special for us this week. The one I am talking about now happened on 28th October, just before I flew to Singapore.

Special Lunch by Aunt!

She welcomed us with wide smile because she noticed the boys came too. They did not go to her house the week before. Here was our sumptuous lunch. I did ask her why she cooked so much meat dish? She said she felt happy to cook.

Pork fillet with fried egg

Such a generous amount of minced pork fillet. She mixed the minced pork with some seasoning, mainly chicken powder, salt and black pepper, and some bread crumbs, coated with lots of eggs and patiently pan fried them one by one. These were so delicious on its own. She actually asked whether did we need ketchup or chilli sauce dipping but we did not need. The fillet was appetizing enough.

Stir fry prawns with broccoli

A super simple stir fry but full of flavour from the prawn and natural sweetness from the broccolis. I really loved this dish, healthy and delicious.

Steamed minced pork with preserved vegetables and potatoes

This was her bi-weekly dish. We loved loved loved this Hakka dish. She used generous amount of minced pork and this time she added some chopped preserved vegetables into the minced pork. Halfway steaming, she added some beautifully cut potatoes on top for the extra look and also the boys loved potatoes. Such a hearty meal.

My Lunch & Happy tummy!

I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch while chitchatting with her.

Actually, the youngest son did say he felt a bit uncomfortable at his intestines, like he could feel the complication was about to kick in, but we still wanted to believe he would be well. Anyway, he straight away needed to lie down to rest. Occasionally, he sat up too.

The eldest son was not hungry at all and was just jollying around. Ended up only my Aunt and I were eating the lunch. After lunch, it was time for me to go because I had a part-time tutoring job. Aunt happily packed the food for the boys and husband to eat at home.

After tuition, I went to a mall nearby to meet up with husband and boys as they sorted out some Pokémon cards. Near evening time, I felt slightly hungry, so I ordered a bowl of prawn noodle at Daily Kopitiam.
