Barcelona El Clasico Defeat

Hello sports lovers, what a weekend of football from all leagues. Today one of the most talk matches in the world was played, the El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The long wait was over as two of the best teams in Spain made their way to the Camp Nou(FC Barcelona home stadium). The stadium was filled with supporters cheering for their team.

This was Barcelona's first El Clasico without Messi. Honestly, I did not see Barcelona winning today's game due to their form since the beginning of the season.

The first quarter of the game started with Madrid dominating with ball possession, the Brazilian International Vinicius Junior for Real Madrid made a lot of problems for the Barcelona defence.

The breakthrough came 32 minutes later as Alaba scored to give Madrid the lead, the assist came from Rodrygo, who passed the ball into the Barcelona defence to set up Alaba for the goal.

Barcelona tried to level things up before the end of the first half but got stopped by the Madrid defence. Ansu Fati came close to getting a shot but was blocked by Alaba. The first half concluded with Madrid leading.

Second-quarter kicked off, Barcelona brought the heat to the defence of Madrid, but the defence repealed the attacks. Both teams counter each other but couldn't get a goal.

The second goal came in just 3 minutes past exact time, Lucas Vazquez giving Real Madrid a two-goal lead with a great reaction from him to double the scoreline.

We thought it was over, Barcelona made an attack. Dest played a long cross to Aguero who played in a volley and scored his first goal for the club making it 1-2, just one more goal to get even.

But sadly the referee blew his whistle signifying the end of the match. Real Madrid claimed all three points. Both teams played well and had their moment, what a night of football.
