Throwback Thursday. Christmas Carol Service In My Church On 14th December 2025

Welcome to my TBT for this week, it is all smelling Christmas and all hands are seriously on deck to make this year's Christmas a memorable one indeed. A lot is said about this Christmas celebration but I have decided to take it on the positive light.

Remembering the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in the likeness of man is what the season speaks of. Several denomination in the christiandom have their way of celebrating this season and all points us back to Jesus Christ. In my church the Anglican Communion we organize Carol and Nine Lessons. So the lesson starts from the fall of man down to the prophecies by different prophets about the coming of a Saviour as seen in Isaiah 9:6 and down to the message that was given to Zechariah at the temple about the birth of John. And finally to the birth of Jesus Christ. It wasn't so much a long service, it was full of event.

The Carol helps us to remember the essence of the season and we are told how best to celebrate against what is down in the world today. There was different performance by different people which helped to make it more colourful.

To end the service it was with the hymn silent night which was lead by the choir and the ministers present during the service. After all the service we went over to the Reverends house to visit as we waited for sometime before going home because our Dad was busy with other events.
