@redheadpei

Redheadpei aka Joanne is a retired senior and author living on Prince Edward Island, Canada with her hubby and two cats, Sunday and Red, surrounded by a forest. After spending many years at her career in the banking industry in a city near Toronto, she was happy to retire back to the countryside.

Not only botany but the mysteries of life, death and the universe hold a special interest for Joanne. Upon retirement she wrote of the passing of her only child, Kevin and the many premonitions before and after his fatal automobile accident.

Along with being a moderator on Amazing nature, gardening, crocheting, trying new recipes and playing cards are some of her hobbies.

Joanne enjoys the many wildlife visitors to her backyard and many walks in nature with her camera.

@bucipuci

I am from the Czech Republic. I love nature in all seasons. I don't exaggerate when I write that I need trees for my life. That's why I live right next to the forest :-).

The forest provides me with regeneration and energy. It also gives me inspiration for the Thematic Challenge, which I organize for you within the Amazing Nature Community

Thank You Moderators !

I cant properly express how thankful I am that you decided to take on the tasks here in the community to grow it into the huge and excellent one that it is now. You enabled the dream of a complete curation scheme and implemented really nice contest with changing topics every week. This became a big pillar in ensuring a great experience for all the community members and it helped so many Hiveans to bond between each other ! .. I am so glad that I came along you all and like to thank you for all this effort over the last years. As a little sign of gratitude I though that I spend a few HBI for all of you and hope for a long friendship here in Hive and a propersous future and further co-working .. Thank you all 😁

Community Rules

Of course there are some rules to the Amazing Community and all of you should read over them properly and keep them in mind whenever you want to publish a post here. The rules are crucial to be accepted as a contest/challenge entry and also to be reviewed as a potential AN curated post.

  • Only post you own original content and do not copy&paste or plagiarize !

This will be taken very serious. If we find out that you are breaking this first rule, we reserve us the right to mute you within the AN community. We will also notify the other communities about it and will have a far closer look into your account. Always state the source of all of your pictures, even if they are your own. Soo, obviously the second rules is ..

  • Always reference the source of pictures and texts, even if they are your own !

The aim of the Amazing Nature community is to share the Amazing Nature around you. This means that we are not a "Photography" community and we treat pictures from professional photographers the same way as those from amateur photographers that are only using mobile phone cameras. Our focus is on the descriptions of the pictures. In every post we would like to read the reason why you are showing us your pictures, your motivation, your feelings, and so on. We are here for bringing Nature-Lovers together and not for watching solely pictures 😊 This brings us to the third rule.

  • Do not post picture without text. Add explanations that suit the AN philosophy !

The last rule is probably an obvious one, but nevertheless I will state it here once. Other than plagiarism breaking this rule will kick you out of AN directly without any further investigation or notification !

  • No hate or discriminatory language of any kind or other offensive behavior !

We at Hive believe in being a proper and adult blogging platform and do not want to become like these other widespread social media platforms out there ^^

Just add the #dna TAG if you think that any of your posts is what they are looking for. At the moment DNA is also the home of the #amazingnature for all your post about the amazing nature all around us and also the home of the #featheredfriends hosted by the lovely @melinda010100 🦢 for all you great posts about our feathered friends and the #fungifriday hosted by the amazing @qwerrie 🍄 for all your posts about fungi and mushrooms ^^ .. Recently DNA expanded its network and implemented the #aquaticsentinels with @juanbg and the #insectsoftheworld with @lourddeshd6 .. But we hope that more nature related communities will join, or maybe some Hiveans start their own little project there ;) .. Maybe even you?

The casing of edible chestnut has a lot of "needles". The nose is the stem behind which he held the cover on the branch and the eyes are pins with a piece of paper :-)
