Receta: Delicioso arroz con pollo / Recipe: Delicious rice with chicken

Podríamos que decir que preparar un Arroz con pollo es fácil, y sí, ciertamente lo es, pero por muy fácil que parezca, cada comida tiene su "ciencia". Yo he comido muchas veces arroz con pollo, pero no siempre está delicioso sino simplemente bien, y creo que justamente ahí es donde está la "ciencia", la buena preparación y el carió con el que se haga el preparado.
Debo confesar que a mí el arroz con pollo simplemente me quedaba bien, pero con una prima aprendí a agregarle otros ingredientes y la forma de cocinarlo y ahora me queda dívino! jeje
Por acá les dejo la receta para unas 4 raciones;
1 pechuga grande de pollo
2 tazas de arroz (no de los tazones grandes)
1 chuleta ahumada
1 cucharadita de alcaparras
Suficiente aliño a gusto (a veces me ha tocado hacerlo con un poco más ó menos de los ingredientes que tenga) y ajo
1 buena cucharadita de onoto para dar color.
2 cucharadas de mostaza
Aceitunas picaditas, una buena cantidad
We could say that preparing a Rice with chicken is easy, and yes, it certainly is, but as easy as it may seem, every meal has its "science". I have eaten arroz con pollo many times, but it is not always delicious but just good, and I think that is exactly where the "science" is, the good preparation and the care with which the preparation is made.
I must confess that rice with chicken was just fine for me, but with a cousin I learned to add other ingredients and the way to cook it and now it is delicious! hehe
Here is the recipe for about 4 servings;
1 large chicken breast
2 cups of rice (not the big bowls)
1 smoked cutlet
1 teaspoon capers
Enough seasoning to taste (sometimes I've had to make it with a little more or less of the ingredients I have) and garlic
1 good teaspoon of onoto for color.
2 tablespoons of mustard
Chopped olives, a good amount.

Picar cebolla, pimentón, ají dulce, cebollín, alcaparras y ajo.(Estos dos últimos ingredientes son indispensables)
Chop onion, paprika, sweet bell pepper, chives, capers and garlic (these last two ingredients are indispensable).
Picar ajoporro y también la chuleta ahumada.

El pollo previamente medio hervido, se corta en trozos y se sasona con un poco de mostaza, sal y pimienta y se deja reposando un rato.
The chicken, previously half boiled, is cut into pieces and seasoned with a little mustard, salt and pepper and left to rest for a while.
En la olla o caldero donde vaya a preparar el arroz, rociar un poco de aceite y agregar los aliños picados para sorfreir ligeramente, luego agregar la chuleta y mover todo varios minutos. Cuando se vean los trocitos de chuleta un poco bronceados agregar el pollo y mover. Agregar la salsa inglesa, el ajo líquido, un par de hojitas de laurel, el onoto, la sal, el arroz y mover. Finalmente agregar las aceitunas picadas y el agua o caldo del pollo.
In the pot or cauldron where you are going to prepare the rice, sprinkle a little oil and add the chopped seasonings to sip lightly, then add the cutlet and stir everything for several minutes. When the chops are a little tanned, add the chicken and stir. Add the Worcestershire sauce, the liquid garlic, a couple of bay leaves, the onoto, the salt, the rice and stir. Finally add the chopped olives and the water or chicken broth.

Dejar destapado unos minutos a fuego medio, luego bajar la llama y tapar. Cocinar hasta que el arroz esté bien cocido y sueltico.
Einige Minuten bei mittlerer Hitze zugedeckt stehen lassen, dann die Flamme reduzieren und abdecken. Kochen, bis der Reis gut gekocht und locker ist.

Dejar reposar unos minutos.
Let stand for a few minutes.


Al servir, rociar un poco de aceite de oliva y listo para disfrutar un sencillo, rápido y delicioso arroz con pollo.
