For today's blog, I will share to all of you my travel escapade at Sitio Kabingatan, the border line between the two Municipalities, the Municipality of Naawan and Manticao, Misamis Oriental. Same as the other place I went on my Previous blog, this area is filled with many kinds of fascinating place and it was very quite, peaceful and refreshing because of the trees and plants located here.

One of the most fascinating place I went was this cave like road. I was very amazed of what I've seen because of the soil with a road at the middle. It is just like a tunnel or cave if the edge of this two cliff will be connected with each other.

This road is very helpful to all residents here. It keeps as a shortcut, I admit that this road is very hard to cross here when rainy season because it is very muddy. Above of this road located some bamboo plants, the owner of this land intended to plant more bamboos near at the river so that it will help the place from being eroded. The weather is very good and very sunny that is why I am very lucky during my travel.

This sitio is also produced native wine or TUBA in local term. I noticed this man climbing on the coconut tree jus to check if there is already native wine. His job is very dangerous because any false move and this man will fall down. The source of native wine mostly get in this coconut tree and even my Father also did this kind of work. The native wine get from this coconut will sell to the public market and the cost is 1USD per gallon. It is also good for vitamins to all children and some people drink native wine or tuba.

I also noticed this big trunk of one of the hardest tree in our Province. In my observation, this is a kind of Tugas tree that grows here in this place Thousand years ago. As when the water from the river slowly swallowed the place, this tree was also submerged. This place was a dry land before and I truly imagine how big the place swallowed by water comes from the river. This trunk of the tree was already submerge here in river thousand of years ago also. It is very hard to pull it out, many floods already tried to swip this trunk away but it couldn't.

This portion of the place was a dried land also, and as the years changes, the water comes from the river raises specially during flood and the land slowly eroded until the place was completely turn into river. There are a lot of big stones located in the place and mostly people came from this place just to get more stones for backfilling there muddy places.

Sitio Kabingatan is a place were many banana plants and coconuts can found. I was really amazed of the place I went because their plants grows very healthy and some of it are already near in harvest. The farming method they did was inter-cropping meaning between the two coconut trees, they also planted bananas. The place is very in productive type and Im sure the land owner is very lucky about this. Misamis Oriental exported banana and coconut fruits to other places and also this is our primary source of income.

Some of the coconut tree found in the place is already old just like this one. This is not a kind of safe coconut tree. People avoided to climb up this kind of coconut tree because the trunks are started to broke and anytime, there will be a possible to fall it down. The best thing they did is to plant young coconuts near at this old tree, so that it will also bare fruits even if the old one will cut down.

Near at the river, there are many kinds of bamboos can be located. This is good that the cliff near at the river should have bamboo so that it can avoided the soil from being eroded. In this vast of bamboos, according to the residents there was a big snakes hiding in that place, that is why they avoided to cut bamboos on that areas. Snakes are everywhere here in our town because some of the place is very cold because of the nig trees and bamboos but despite of being dangerous animals hiding in the place, we don't want to kill them and let them live.

"My travel escapade was successfully done and I really amazed of their place, I hope the natural beauty of the place I went will still remain until next generations to come".
