A Day in My Life Blog: Celebrating our 3rd General Assembly of our Cooperative, the Paniangan OFW Agriculture Cooperative with our Special Invited Guests! 😇🤗🎉

One event which happened recently is our Cooperative's 3rd General Assembly with the theme, "Helping each other in Facing Challenges for Sustainable Progress and Development".

Being one of the Board of Directors and being the acting Secretary of our Cooperative, I have prepared a lot for this most especially that I am assigned with some reports and invitations to all Members.

This event is indeed very busy moment for me, but I am happy to serve. Now, before I proceed with my sharing, let me greet and thank you first all my supporters here in the community. To all Admins and all Curators, thanks a lot for the support as always.

Since the start of the year, with our Cooperative's Chairperson we have planned and prepared a lot for our 3rd General Assembly that is why, we keep on communicating to each other on what to do.

Supposed to be, this event is to happen last month of March but due to unforseen circumstances and holidays, we have decided to schedule this important event this month of April.

The day has finally come for our much awaited and planned event, our 3rd General Assembly and it is to be held at our Covered Court, the Norberto Jabla Sports Complex. We thank God for the Barangay Council approved our request to used this.

Our General Assembly is scheduled to happen by the afternoon at 1:00 that is why before the said scheduled time, we already present at the venue, so we can do decorations and prepare the attendance.

At around 1:00 in the afternoon, some Members have finally arrived but only few were here already. We've also waited for our invited guests which are our Barangay Captain and our Municipal Mayor before we get started.

That was around 1:45 in the afternoon when our invited guests have finally arrived and at this moment, we immediately started the program as we have a lot of things to do.

We started the program with an opening prayer then a singing of the National Anthem. Our Chairperson has now then shared her welcome address as will as to welcome our invited guests most especially our Barangay Captain and our Municipal Mayor.

After our Chairperson shared her well address, it is now time to call each of our invited guests for their inspirational message for our Cooperative, to the officers and also to all the members.

First we call is our Barangay Captain who is very supportive to our Cooperative. Even though he is just a newly appointed Barangay Captain since passing of our former Barangay Captain, we can see to him that every time we go to his office, he welcomes us and supports us.

Our Barangay Captain shared how grateful he is to have a Cooperative like this here in our Barangay for the first time. He just hope for the success and the help that our Cooperative can do to our Barangay.

Next being call is our Municipal Mayor, in which we are very surprised to have him here for the first time, and this makes our General Assembly more special to have him here.

What he shared also to us is an encouragement most especially to us Officers of the Cooperative. He know that it is not easy to handle a Cooperative with different people involved but he said that he is willing to help what he can helped to our Cooperative, and we're very happy to hear that from our Municipal Mayor.

Lastly, we have also invited the Barangay Committee on Agriculture since our Cooperative is more on Agriculture. She also give thanks and shared a short but very meaning message, which is to be united and help each other for the success of our Cooperative.

After all of our invited guests have finally shared their short but very meaningful message to all of us Members qnd and Officers of the Cooperative, we have take a short break first.

We thank God for we have plenty of foods to eat together, and we thank God for all of our Members who bring foods for snacks. We pray to God for snacks for our General Assembly and today we really have plenty of foods to eat. God indeed will provide all our needs.

In just a few minutes, we have continued our General Assembly with an important discussion and part, and this is the Election of New set of Officers for this year.

Election of Officers is a yearly event for any Cooperative and it should be happen every General Assembly. During the filing of Candidacy, each positions has exact numbers of Candidates that is why we have decided to appoint them immediately as Officers.

What we did first is we call the former Officers to have a picture taking then announce that only two officers will be going to be elected since two of them have expired their years of service.

After the election and appointments, the two Officers have been appointed with other Officers from Election Committee and Audit Committee, then everyone were called to go in the front together with the three former Officers from BOD.

Our Municipal Mayor has now then called as he will be the one who will do the Oath Taking Ceremony with our Barangay Captain. This Oath Taking is much more legal as it is our Municipal Mayor who officiate.

Finally our 3rd General Assembly has been concluded and we thank and praise God for everything went well from start until the end, and for the closing remarks and closing prayer, I was called on the spot. I dont know what to say but glory to God everything is well. All honor and glory belongs to God alone.
