Holiday is over; time to secure the bag.
The holiday was awesome but no matter how long we think it is, it must surely come to an end. I won't deny the fact that I had one of my best holidays due to the events that happened during the holiday, I had great fun, rested well, and also took my relationship to the next level.
Who doesn't love holidays?
I doubt if there is anyone who doesn't like the holiday because most times, these holidays become the only time we get to take a long break from work and spend quality time with our families.
Did I hear some say the weekends?
They aren't enough for proper rest not to talk of spending quality time with your family.
During the holidays, I get to spend time with my family since it is the only time we get to spend a whole week together. I also get the privilege to visit my friends and attend reunions since that's the only time we can all gather to say hello and check up on one another.
As much as I love holidays, I am the type who doesn't like to stay idle and can't stay idle for a long period, it actually makes me sick doing nothing for some time. I am always happy about holidays but it becomes boring when I feel stuck in them for too long and returning to work is quite exciting after every break.
I feel refreshed and full of energy to get back to work, I have never felt too comfortable enjoying any holiday for too long and I think that will happen probably when I get the chance to travel on a vacation to Europe. It would be an unending holiday for me because I wouldn't want to return to my beloved country.
It didn't start today, the long holiday usually ends up annoying me and I am always excited to return to school when I was younger or to work as an adult. As a kid, I don't like the third term holiday when we have to spend two months before resuming the new class. Aside from the fact that I enjoy school activities, I have a piggy bank where I save pocket allowance every day and during holidays, I barely get anything to save so longer holidays eventually become annoying in the long run.
I wouldn't want to just say I love work but yes, I do. It sounds weird when you tell people that you love work but the fact remains that we need things to survive and those things can only be acquired with money which you can't get without working. Although there are other ways in which people get money but I have always depended on the work of my hands to pay my bills and take care of my responsibilities.
During Covid, the first two weeks of the lockdown felt like a holiday, and at a point, I started getting bored. In the third week, I volunteered to work with the condition that the company must provide the necessary safety kits and also incentives.
A driver volunteered to work with me and before you know it, there were lots of volunteers in my routes who also felt bored staying at home.
I hope I wouldn't offend anyone if I say that only a lazy person will not work when one is available and even the Bible made it clear that there can't be food for a lazy man.
Embracing the holiday for more than the usual time means I wouldn't earn money to pay my bills. I love holidays but not to the extent of wanting them to continue when I am supposed to be working for my daily bread and more.
Sadly, the holiday is over but I can't resume work at the moment. There is ongoing road construction in my area which started back in December and there is a huge possibility of it affecting electricity.
I made my findings but couldn't get a genuine answer, it would be unwise to fill the ponds with fishes and start having electricity issues, I must be sure before taking a step since the construction might be on for 6-8 months. I will resume immediately I have the right information about what the electricity is going to be like, it is either I use my tanks or rent somewhere else till the construction is completed.
Whether it affects me or not, I am definitely not staying idle.
This reminds me of last two weeks of the festive season, when my dad picked up his tools and headed for farm. "Won't you rest?" That's the question we asked him and he said "even the rest is now boring, I need to sweat" lol🤣.
That's how it happens to most of us, when the resting/holiday period becomes longer, everything turns out to be boring.

It's funny when I see people wishing for more days, people who are employed will get paid whether they work or not.
I am the boss of myself and I must be interested in work because whatever effort I put into work is what I will reap. Farmers aren't used to staying idle, we must work so long holidays don't suit my lifestyle and dreams.
Enough of spending, it's time for saving 😊
That's true, there are bills lying around that must be taken care of so it is the work mode for me now.

The short holiday are sometimes not enough and that depends on us as an individual. I love to work so I can have enough money to take care of myself and my family.

I had a brief holiday and was able to spend some time with a few family and friends. However, like all good things, the holiday had to come to an end. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to stay idle for too long. With so much projects and activities slated for 2023, no time for more holidays, as you've said, "its time to secure the bag".
The holiday will never be enough if we think about how much fun we want to have, and how much we want to rest but we must also put a lot of things into consideration. More holidays, less time to work so that we can earn to pursue our dreams and target for the year.

Idleness isn't fun especially for one that's used to the demands of work all year round.

Men are been are chased by bills that are sometimes not visible to the naked eye so it is natural for us to always want to work. I am not saying the ladies don't pay bills too, but men feel more pressured.
I am definitely not returning to Nigeria, it is going to be a lifetime holiday.

We need to work to make money so it is important that we work. When we work hard and have enough money, we can take holidays for our self because we are capable of doing so.
Long holiday is usually boring for some people and getting back to work finally becomes so exciting
However, when I was still working in an office, I always crave for long holidays so I can have more time with my family, afterall the holiday comes with earning salary as well 😂, for me oo
Imagine the excitement on my kids faces when I told them that they are resuming school today. ...it was wow
They have waited for it after the Christmas holiday..they couldn't wait again 😂
The reason why company staff wants more days for the holiday is that they get paid even during holidays.
Indeed the holiday gets boring when it is getting longer than usual and how can tell how excited your kids are about resumption. They must have missed their friends and reuniting with them will make them very happy
