Hola hivers, saludos. Muchos de los que han seguido mis publicaciones han estado pendientes de saber cómo va el progreso de Dylan, el perro que rescaté de la calle a principios de agosto. Bueno, hoy les traigo muchas novedades respecto a su caso.

Hello hivers, greetings. Many of those who have followed my posts have been waiting to hear how Dylan, the dog I rescued from the street in early August, is doing. Well, today I bring you a lot of news regarding his case.

En la publicación anterior quedamos en el octavo día de rescate así que seguiré la misma secuencia para ir paso a paso.

In the previous post we were on the eighth day of the rescue so I will follow the same sequence to go step by step.

Día 9:
Como habrán visto, la piel de Dylan tiene una especie de sarna que le ha causado una gran resequedad, sin mencionar el daño y la capa negra que le quedó del aceite quemado de autos que al parecer le habían echado con la intención de curarle la sarna 🤦🏻‍♀️, algo que sabemos que no funciona 😒 así que bañarlo siempre ayuda a que su piel se regenere y se vaya cayendo esa capa negra.

Day 9:
As you will have seen, Dylan's skin has some kind of scabies that has caused it to be very dry, not to mention the damage and the black layer left over from burned car oil that apparently had been poured on him with the intention of curing the scabies 🤦🏻‍♀️, something we know doesn't work 😒 so bathing him always helps his skin regenerate and that black layer falls off.

El primer día lo bañé junto a mí hermana pero esta vez lo bañé yo sola así que tuve que ponerle un collar y amarrarlo porque cuando le echaba agua salía corriendo 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ / The first day I bathed him with my sister but this time I bathed him by myself so I had to put a collar on him and tie him up because when I poured water on him he run away 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

Le dí dos manos de champú y lo froté con una esponja suave para exfoliar su piel. Puede que no le guste cuando le echo el agua pero cuando viene el champú y el masaje con la esponja se queda tranquilo y lo disfruta mucho jajaja / I shampooed him twice and scrubbed him with a soft sponge to exfoliate his skin. He may not like it when I pour the water on him but when comes the time of shampoo and sponge massage he stays calm and enjoys it a lot hahaha

Las heridas de la oreja están cicatrizando muy bien / The ear wounds are healing very well

Día 10:
Ya van ocho días de tratamiento intravenoso y la energía de Dylan está cada vez mejor, apenas yo llego y lo saco de su canil empieza a mover la cola y a correr por todo el patio ☺️.

There are already eight days of intravenous treatment and Dylan's energy is getting better, as soon as I arrive and take him out of his kennel he starts to wag his tail and run all over the yard ☺️.

Así va la recuperación de la oreja / This is how the recovery of the ear goes

Me encanta ayudar así que siempre le agarro la pata a Dylan y aprieto sobre la vena que me indica el veterinario para que él pueda tomarle la vía y pasarle el tratamiento / I love to help so I always grab Dylan's paw and press on the vein that the vet tells me so he can take the vein line and give him the treatment

2 cc de Oxitetraciclina y 1 cc de Eritrogen, es lo que se le está suministrando vía intravenosa / 2 cc of Oxytetracycline and 1 cc of Eritrogen, is what is being given intravenously

Dylan es un excelente paciente, se queda tranquilo mientras le pasan el tratamiento y nunca se queja / Dylan is an excellent patient, he stays calm during the treatment and never complains

Este es el spray plateado que actúa contra las moscas y ayuda a cicatrizar, el veterinario me lo da y yo misma se lo echo, tengo que decir que los perros lo odian jajaja, no sólo porque no les gusta el sonido del spray sino que también porque es muy frío 🥶 jajaja, me ha caído en los dedos y se siente como un hielo / This is the silver spray that works against flies and helps to heal, the vet gives it to me and I spray it on Dylan's ear myself, I have to say that the dogs hate it hahaha, not only because they don't like the sound of the spray but also because it's very cold 🥶 hahaha, it has fallen on my fingers and it feels like ice

Día 11:
Si bien el área de hospitalización tiene un gran patio y más de diez caniles grandes, no estamos dejando a Dylan suelto porque Catalina, la perrita amarilla, está en celo así que mientas esté así sólo lo suelto cuando estoy yo en el patio e igual tengo que estar pendiente porque la persigue a cada rato 😬🤦🏻‍♀️🥴.

Day 11:
Although the hospitalization area has a large patio and more than ten large kennels, we are not letting Dylan loose because Catalina, the yellow dog, is in heat so as long as she is like this, I only release him when I am in the patio and I still have to keep an eye out because he haunts her all the time 😬🤦🏻‍♀️🥴.

Día 12:
Hoy es el último día de tratamiento intravenoso, fueron diez días y ayudaron muchísimo a Dylan tanto con su condición de la enfermedad de la garrapata (erlichiosis) como a fortalecer su organismo gracias al Eritrogen que es un poderoso antianémico, anabolizante, energético y estimulante 💪🏻👊.

Day 12:
Today is the last day of intravenous treatment, it was ten days and they helped Dylan a lot both with his condition of the tick disease (erlichiosis) and to strengthen his body thanks to Eritrogen, which is a powerful anti-anemic, anabolic, energetic and stimulant 💪👊.

Día 13:
Terminado el tratamiento de diez días ahora empezaba la cuenta regresiva de ir buscando un hogar temporal donde poder tenerlo hasta conseguirle un hogar definitivo o por lo menos hasta que le salga nuevamente todo su pelo.

Day 13:
Finished the ten-day treatment now began the countdown to go looking for a temporary home where we can have him until we find a final home or at least until all his hair grows out again.

Lo primero que hago al llegar es abrir el canil para que Dylan salga y corra un rato y después le doy su primera comida del día / The first thing I do when I get there is open the kennel for Dylan to come out and run for a while and then I give him his first meal of the day

Aunque la oreja está hinchada, ya no tiene pus, me dijeron que a veces el cuerpo reabsorbe ese tejido cicatricial y otras veces la oreja se queda así, eso depende del organismo de cada animal, lo importante es que a Dylan no le duele / Although the ear is swollen, it no longer has pus, they told me that sometimes the body reabsorbs that scar tissue and other times the ear stays that way, that depends on the organism of each animal, the important thing is that Dylan doesn't hurt

Días 14, 15 y 16:
En estos días, Ze Pequeña, mi gata, se enfermó así que estuve muy ocupada con ella y por eso le hice pocas fotos a Dylan, le pusieron suero dos días seguidos así que tenía que estar con ella en la parte de adelante del consultorio donde están las camillas de atención y tratamiento. Fueron unos días muy ajetreados 🥵🥴.

Days 14, 15 and 16:
These days, Ze Pequeña, my cat, got sick so I was very busy with her and that's why I took few photos of Dylan, they gave her serum two days in a row so I had to be with her in the front part of the vet clinic where the care and treatment beds are. There were very busy days 🥵🥴.

Es increíble como se ha regenerado el tejido de la oreja / It's incredible how the ear tissue has regenerated

Día 17:
Ya habían pasado nueve días desde su último baño así que me fui bien preparada para bañar a Dylan otra vez jajaja. Primero compartí un rato con él y luego le puse el collar y lo amarré para que se quedara tranquilo mientras lo bañaba.

It had already been nine days since his last bath so I went well prepared to give Dylan a bath again hahaha. First I shared a while with him and then I put the collar on him and tied him up so that he would stay calm while I bathed him.

Día 18:
Era sábado 19 de agosto, y se supone que este iba a ser el último día de Dylan en la clínica veterinaria pero como aún no habíamos encontrado un hogar temporal nos dejaron tenerlo hasta el miércoles 23 🙏, menos mal 🥴🤗.

Day 18:
It was Saturday the 19th of August, and this was supposed to be Dylan's last day at the vet clinic but since we still hadn't found a temporary home they let us keep him until Wednesday the 23rd 🙏, thank goodness 🥴🤗.

Días 19, 20 y 21:
Se iba acercando el día de llevarme a Dylan y tanto el personal que trabaja en el consultorio como los que en estas semanas tienen o han tenido a alguna mascota hospitalizada, están sorprendidos con la evolución de Dylan.

The day to take Dylan was getting closer and both the staff who work in the vet clinic and those who have or have had a pet hospitalized in recent weeks are surprised by Dylan's evolution.

¿Será marrón, será beige, será de colores mezclados? 🤔 Creo que haré un concurso para ver quién adivina el color que tendrá Dylan cuando tenga todo su pelo completo jejeje / Will it be brown, will it be beige, will it be mixed colors? 🤔 I think I'll do a contest to see who can guess the color Dylan will have when he has all his hair hehehe

Al parecer las patas serán la última parte a la que le saldrá pelo 😕 / Apparently the legs will be the last part to grow hair 😕

Les cuento que un día antes de finalizar el plazo que nos dieron en la clínica veterinaria para llevarnos al perro, Manuel (el amigo que está pagando la hospitalización de Dylan), consiguió un lugar donde podremos tenerlo 🙏😁, pero de esta nueva etapa les hablaré en la próxima publicación.

I tell you that one day before the end of the term that they gave us at the veterinary clinic to take the dog, Manuel (the friend who is paying for Dylan's hospitalization), got a place where we can have him 🙏😁, but I'll talk about this new stage in the next post.

El caso de Dylan está avanzando por buen camino y los resultados ya se notan, eso me hace sentir muy feliz y agradecida con todas las personas que han aportado su conocimiento, tiempo, apoyo, dinero, amistad y amor. Es imposible hacer todo uno solo y creo que las buenas acciones siempre consiguen gente que las ayude a terminar exitosamente 🤗.

Dylan's case is progressing on the right track and the results are already showing, that makes me feel very happy and grateful to all the people who have contributed with their knowledge, time, support, money, friendship and love. It's impossible to do everything by yourself and I think good deeds always get people to help them finish successfully 🤗.
