For me, makeup is not just about looking pretty, it's a form of expression, an art even. There are those who manage it to perfection and others like me, who are at the entrance door and already love it. I know that like everything else there is blood, sweat and tears to achieve highlight and improve techniques, even so in my short path, makeup has taught me great lessons, that's what today's post is about, the life lessons that makeup has given me in my short journey learning and practicing this beautiful art.
La paciencia es una virtud | Patience is a virtue
Casi nunca obtendremos los resultados que queremos al primer intento, hay que saber esperar y poner todo de ti mientras alcanzas tu gran objetivo. La paciencia es una de esas características que necesitas para poder prosperar en muchos aspectos. El tener la virtud de hacer todo con cuidado y sin apuros no es algo que yo tuviera muy desarrollado🤣 No creo que entiendan como me costaba hacer cosas como difuminar, pensaba que con 1 minuto era más que suficiente, con el tiempo entendí que mientras más amor le dediques a esas pequeñas tareas y más paciencia tengas al realizarlas, mejores serán tus resultados, y esa misma enseñanza intento incluirla en otros ámbitos de mi vida poco a poco.
We will almost never get the results we want at the first attempt, you have to know how to wait and put all of yourself while you reach your big goal. Patience is one of those characteristics you need to be able to prosper in many aspects. Having the virtue of doing everything carefully and without haste is not something that I had very developed🤣 I don't think you understand how it was hard for me to do things like blurring, I thought that 1 minute was more than enough, with time I understood that the more love you dedicate to those small tasks and the more patience you have when doing them, the better your results will be, and that same teaching I try to include it in other areas of my life little by little.

Muy pocas veces llegué a entender el verdadero significado detrás de esa frase, pero últimamente mientras más practico mis habilidades en el maquillaje más me doy cuenta de que muchas veces estuve a punto de tener grandes trabajos y de hacer grandes cosas, pero por miedo las deje ir y no las terminaba, era como ir caminando al trabajo de tus sueños, pero como en el camino se me manchó la camisa o me caí, en lugar de levantarme y seguir mi camino al trabajo, decidía regresar a mi casa; así mismo me pasaba con el maquillaje y con otros aspectos de mi vida, por miedo a como algo iba quedando lo dejaba a medias en lugar de terminarlo y aprender de mis resultados.
Confiar en el proceso significa hoy para mí continuar y hacer todo con corazón y ganas, posiblemente estoy a punto de hacer un look precioso, o conseguir un gran trabajo o la mejor calificación de mi clase... Y nunca lo sabré si no termino lo que comencé y confío en que algo bueno obtendré del camino.
Very few times I came to understand the true meaning behind that phrase, but lately the more I practice my makeup skills the more I realize that many times I was about to have great jobs and do great things, but for fear I let them go and did not finish them, it was like walking to the job of your dreams, but on the way I stained my shirt or I fell, instead of getting up and continue my way to work, I decided to return to my house; The same thing happened to me with my makeup and other aspects of my life, for fear of how something would turn out, I would leave it half done instead of finishing it and learning from my results.
Trusting in the process means today for me to continue and do everything with heart and desire, possibly I am about to make a beautiful look, or get a great job or the best grade in my class.... And I will never know if I don't finish what I started and trust that something good will come out of it.

Cómo dije arriba, es importante no dejar las cosas a medias, pero ¿Que pasa si luego de terminarlas, no obtenemos un buen resultado? Mi respuesta es: Lo seguimos intentando.
¿Si un delineado no te sale bien? Lo sigues intentando
¿Si un paso de baile no te sale bien? Lo sigues intentando
¿Si tú calificación fue pésima en un examen? Lo sigues intentando.
Por qué la vida no es de quién triunfa a la primera, sino de quién lo intenta hasta que triunfa. Y si fuiste de los afortunados que a la primera lo consiguió, pues síguelo practicando, cada uno de nosotros puede mejorar, no existen maquilladores perfectos, ni personas perfectas.
He intentado una y mil veces lograr diferentes técnicas del maquillaje como el Foxy eyes, y casi nunca he obtenido un resultado aceptable, pero como dije hace un momento: Lo sigo intentando. ¿Y tú? ¿Ya lo dejaste de intentar?
As I said above, it is important not to leave things half done, but what if after finishing them, we don't get a good result? My answer is: We keep trying.
If an eyeliner doesn't come out well? You keep trying.
If a dance step doesn't work? You keep trying
If you got a lousy grade on a test? You keep trying.
Because life is not about who succeeds the first time, but about who tries until they succeed. And if you were one of the lucky ones who succeeded the first time, keep practicing, each one of us can improve, there are no perfect makeup artists, nor perfect people.
I have tried a thousand times to achieve different makeup techniques such as Foxy eyes, and I have almost never obtained an acceptable result, but as I said a moment ago: I keep trying. And you? Have you stopped trying?
And well these were some small lessons I learned from makeup, almost all are based on patience, perseverance and discipline, we are not born with everything learned or doing things as it should be, but that's the fun of learning something new.
