The Magic Ingredient On My Favorite Meals......

avatar

Have got just two favorite meals, but my most favorite meal will always and forever remain, "Banga soup and fresh fish dried in native pot serve with starch, or pounded yam".. On rare occasions i eat it with Eba mixed with fufu that is if am too lazy to prepare pounded yam or starch…

I really don't know why I love this soup. I fell in love with it right from childhood. The taste and feel is just so amazing. When growing up I learned different ways to prepare this meal. Sometimes I add a little pepper soup spice along with the banga spice to it, it always gives it that different taste and feel of fresh heaven.

My family always prefers my banga to any other. It's very easy to cook really, you just have to add each ingredient after the next one boils up, then wait for the soup to thicken so it's ready.

When growing up I loved eating it with pounded yam, I always pound yam for the whole family with a molter. Though it's always painful, but thinking about the deliciousness I'll enjoy after pounding gives me a lot of energy to keep pounding.

Well I grew up, started staying on my own and figured it's time I do things differently, So I decided to get myself an electronic yam pounder from jumia just to reduce the stress and workload I feel when pounding yam with molter. And I swear it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Immediately my mum saw this she pressured me to get her one, i had to order another one for her, just so she won't kill me with her words, you know mothers (:

Well my next favorite food in the world is "Oil fried beans eaten with soaked garri", i never miss eating it with soaked garri. The taste and feel is different from anything else. Cooking this is a little bit complicated, as it can be cooked with different styles, combinations and ingredients.

Sometimes I cook this with ripe or unripe plantain, yam, potatoes or sometimes I just cook this plain and eat it with either soaked garri or fluffy fresh bread.

The magic and secret ingredient i use to make my oil beans taste amazing is just added a little mashed fresh garlic and onion to it after the beans is ready, this will make the feel of the beans a little bit crunchy when eating it, stir while still cooking with low heart wait for 5 seconds for the aroma to come out and then food is ready. My family always had their mouths salivating when I was on the last stage cooking this.

Well Micasa sucasa, till we read again, kudos

I love fried beans so much, though I don't know how to prepare them. And pounded yam with Mellon soup is one of my favorites as well.
