Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is an action-adventure game developed by Team Ladybug and Why so serious? for the PC platform. It was officially released on March 21st of this year. This video game is based on a very famous fiction novel from the 80's and 90's called The Lodoss War which was written by Ryō Mizuno. Although the game was just released this year and I have had very little time to try it, the game is quite entertaining and even more for those who like games with pixelated graphics even more. The plot of the game tells us how one of the main characters of the novel called Deedlit wakes up from a deep sleep and seems to be in a labyrinth from which he must try to get out, but this will not be very easy and that is where the difficulties begin but this is not always bad, as players live a better experience within the game.

As for the gameplay I can tell you that my experience was pretty good beyond the short time I have that I tried this game. The story of the game is light where the player concentrates on the entertainment and the game itself. The player to choose the main character and appear inside the maze must undertake a series of battles and missions, where you must defeat the bosses, in addition to improving equipment and weapons, as to go up more and more level. As we increase in level, our character will acquire new skills that as we advance in the game and we face higher level bosses, so we will have a chance to defeat without so much difficulty, but of course it is not that easy, but at least it will not be as difficult as if we were really with the skills of level 1. The game mechanics is quite simple to understand, at least in my opinion, the best thing about this is that the player is more focused on what is entertainment and fun.

In the game we will not only be facing the bosses of each of the chapters of the scenarios where the game takes place (labyrinth), but we face other villains that although we do not present as much difficulty as the main enemy to defeat, it is not that they are defeated so easily, so it gives more difficulty to the game and therefore more fun. The characters of the bosses are really good and beautiful, the truth is that I loved them. In the game we have several resources, but among the best are the potions to heal us and thus increase our life that we are losing little by little to go fighting and this is due to the level of difficulty that we find in Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. One of the things that I did not like so much is that the game is really short with a duration of only 6 hours or so, where most of this type of game are between 15 and 20 hours long, but it is always important to mention that this depends on the speed of the player to defeat the enemy and overcome the different obstacles.

In the graphical part I can tell you that I really liked the game quite a lot, it is surprising and more when we are in the presence of a pixel art graphic section game. What are the characters (main character, bosses ... etc.) are very well worked with good details despite the style of graphics, the truth was fascinated with it. The scenarios also I like a lot with good details and very colorful for the type of game, which gives a good view to it. The view of the game is in 2D with a good perspective. The animations look fantastic to me with very good results during battles. The visual effects are one of the weakest things in the game but overall it is not bad at all. The fluidity of the game is also quite good and the best thing is that it is not demanding in terms of system requirements. The graphics are really good, both technically and artistically.

The sound is another success on the part of the developers of the game, with excellent sound effects that sound very good and forceful. What is the soundtrack is good, very atmospheric and according to the type of game, plus it is very well varied musical themes and every time they sound is according to the moment we are living. To emphasize that there is no dubbing and that the texts are only in English, but it is important to highlight the sound of the voices in the dialogues, which are not so common but if they happen.

Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a very entertaining and fun game, where action and adventure are the order of the day, with a touch of role-playing that gives more life to the game. In the narrative the game is simple that many are disappointed because it is not as well adapted as the original novel, but I personally liked it a lot despite that. The gameplay is good, both the combat and the game system, both missions and combat, the bad thing about this point is the length of the game that is very short. The graphics are well created, the truth is that in general I have been very satisfied with this point. The sound is the best, with good sound effects, a good soundtrack, the bad thing is that it is not available in Spanish for us Spanish speakers. For all this I give it a 9.2, the graphics a 9.7 and the sound a 9.9, it is a great game that I invite you to try.

For all the above, I give a 9.6 out of 10 to Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. It is always important to remember that my reviews and ratings are from the point of view of a normal user or gamer and not a professional videogame critic.

Did you read the original novel of this game?

Hello friend greetings. To be honest, when I had the opportunity to try this game with a friend, I was curious about the original novel, but I didn't read it in its entirety due to time constraints. But it is a task for me to look for the complete novel and take the time to read it in its entirety.

Did you read the original novel of this game?

I don't read many novels or series, only those that catch my attention or that have been adapted to a video game.

How do you assume that the game is well adapted to his novels if you haven't read them all? 😅

In the publication I said that the game was not quite well adapted to the original novel. But if you are right that if I haven't read it well I can't give a true opinion, I should only have touched on the other aspects of the subject, but if I gave that opinion it was based on what I read and what I documented.

I realized that it was my mistake or mistranslation because my language is Spanish. Thanks for the comment I can tell. I meant to say that it was not well adapted, but I liked the story or narrative anyway. PS: I will edit it to avoid confusion.

I think you really didn't play this game and I have proof that you tried to copy the text from another site in Spanish, adding more content, and then translate it into English. Therefore, this post is not in both languages like the others.

friend if I really played it at a friend's house because currently I don't have it in and I didn't try to copy it from another website, and I have a long time that I don't publish in Spanish.

If you want to continue we can do it in Spanish because I think you also speak it so it is easier.
