Cobwabunga!

And I'm here once again, into a point of chaos. It's crazy how life changes when you can't have any form of fire inside a house. It just stops being a home, at least in this cold part of the world where it's summer and yet we're freezing our asses off in the mornings these days.

It's fine though. Now that the stove isn't functional, I've been forced to work on my rocket stove if I want a proper meal and hot water again. What I miss the most is my yerba mate in the morning. It's a blessing to start the day with it beside the fire and jam in the guitar for a bit. It's a huge sacrifice to motivate myself out of bed without that wonderful moment waiting for me.

Today I made more progress on the stove and got the structure right this time. Tomorrow it's time for the mud. Summer passed me by and I didn't get to work with mud at all. Between the fences and all the different daily things that need to be done to keep depression at bay while living alone in the forest, I just haven't gotten to the point where I can say: "everything's great, let's do some cob!"

But now life force me into it and I'm grateful because working with mud is a beautiful therapy and I'm looking very forward to it.

Tomorrow's the day! Hopefully I'll finish the stove and get back to the abandoned tasks because my room is a mess, my dirty clothes are piling up, and with those two things out of control for too long, depression finds comfortably slipping into my being.

Man, jut looking at your walls is so inspiring for me. I think if I was there right now you wouldn't be able to keep me from making cob, even if you wanted to! The walls are just begging for it! I assume the structure in the foreground is the frame for your cob oven, right? That's exciting too, but it's the walls that really have an effect on me. May you get into the full groove where you simply can't stop applying just a little bit more mud! 😁

Haha seems I need someone like you around here! Thanks for your wishes, I actually got into the mood today while putting cob on the stove, I stayed working on it until I really couldn't see anything any more and it's been a long time since I last did that. I'm excited to keep going tomorrow and I'll probably try to keep cobbing a bit every day, though I still gotta finish my greenhouse, pay more attention to my compost, tend to the garden, etc. Hahaha I'd just love to go all in on cob, but as I mentioned in the post, keeping a sane mind here requires many things to attend to.

The work you've put into your home is just amazing, man. May the expansion continue! It's quite an inspiring and fruitful labor you've set for yourself! I wish you great success with it!

Thank you brother, it's been a collective work of many people, plants, animals, and other spiritual forces 🙏
