Greetings to all the beautiful community @WEEKENDEXPERIENCIAS today I will participate in the initiative created by dear friend @galenkp where he exposes several topics, the ones I liked the most was What are two unhealthy habits you have, how do they impact you and what could you do to break them?

I have some bad habits, perhaps more than I would like. I will name a few: I often don't get enough sleep, I eat a lot of junk food, especially sugary drinks like soda, and I drink a lot of coffee a day. I tend to accept compromises I don't want, but I think one of the worst is wanting to be in control of everything and striving for perfection. Many times I tend to be very bossy and when I do something in my work, I try to make it go as well as possible. Perhaps this has often led me to get stressed and be very impatient. Over time I have realized that nothing and no one is perfect, and that the best teachers are mistakes, because they are the ones that teach us to keep improving every day. I have learned that no matter how much I stress myself, the best things are the ones that come at God's appointed time. I have also learned to delegate responsibilities and to share the work with people I trust. This has filled me with a peace that I did not have before.

We often defend our bad habits with indefensible logic and ignore useful advice. We stop learning new skills and tend to waste time on trivial matters. We entertain ourselves with useless conversations, eat unhealthy foods, fail to exercise, spend more money than we earn, avoid necessary conflicts, refrain from telling the truth, and don't ask for what we want. and we often wonder why our life didn't work out. Our life is a reflection of our habits and if our life is not as we would like it to be, we probably need to modify some of those habits. They require effort and discipline. A habit is nothing more than a behavior that we do naturally and without realizing that little by little it is harming and destroying us. Changing habits requires concrete actions to materialize what we want, it implies a lot of will and work, an iron discipline to fulfill them. A bad habit is not eliminated, it is replaced, because many times we have an attachment to that bad habit and, in the worst case, an addiction. And many times we ourselves know what we have to do to replace it.

Controlling our emotions is the first step to change our bad habits, because they only appear when our emotions dominate us.

A very specific publication of the bad habits that human beings usually have a great personal experience to understand that we are weak but with a lot of desire to improve.

You already know what the habits are and you have taken steps to begin to change them and achieve a better quality of life, keep going until you achieve it, I am also sleeping very poorly, I think I already carry this idea that I will sleep badly and indeed it happens because I program myself unconsciously for it to happen.

Miss bossy huh? Lol. I think seeking to do one's best can sometimes come across as that, especially if there's others one needs to rely on. I suppose the main thing is that you know you're doing it and try to temper it; getting the best out of the people around you (or yourself) is best done collaboratively.

Thanks for your post.

I've operated in places where taking orders was commonplace and essential to one's progression, giving them too. I guess in situations like that, there's many ways to do it. Knowing you can be a little bossy is a good thing, not knowing is where the problems start.

Anyway, it was a nice post, thank you for taking the time. My best wishes back at you, and all the best for the weekend.

Omg, that eating lots of junk food and tend to get a little bossy, I do this too. And I know too I have to change it, but, it's hard to just change it. I mean, I'm trying, but jusy for a short while and will do it again, later, gosh. But yeah, we really have to change this bad habit now.

More than changing these habits would be to improve our quality of life, because the truth is that we resist change as human beings we always want to satiate our pleasures, even if they are momentary, whether it is junk food or any other bad habit.
