PROVINCE LIFE: "DELICIOUS FOOD WITH LOVE " šŸ’•šŸ¤šŸ–¤

When I was in the province, I was fortunate to be surrounded by some of my high school classmates, whom I could always call when I was hungry. After a day of recuperation, I asked my friend Mhei if I could come and see her because I needed a strong internet connection in order to attend my Zoom meeting with my new company. She said I could come and she would prepare some food for us. But first, I informed her that I could go get pizza for us, but she insisted that we do it the next time. The weather looked to be rainy that day, but luckily she offered to pick me up because I have no idea where her new place is. Finally, the weather appears to be fine around the afternoon. She comes to pick me up at 3 p.m. It barely took us 5 minutes to get there, and her new flat is both beautiful and serene.

We proceeded straight to the kitchen as I entered her house. She was really making the carbonara and had already made the bread roll, which she was about to fry. Aside from the Carbonara and a bread roll, she also makes and toasts some bread with butter. While I assist her in preparing food, we have plenty of time to catch up on any news or updates from our batchmates. I was also keeping an eye on the clock because my meeting is about to begin at 4 p.m., and I don't want to be late. We were also discussing her plans to visit her partner who works abroad, and as someone who has already traveled outside the Philippines, she asked me several things that Immigration generally asks.

Because my meeting was only 5 minutes away, I left to attend it while she finished preparing the food in the kitchen. The meeting was scheduled to last 30 minutes, but it was extended. She gave me the food after my meeting, and I can't wait to enjoy it. When we have various events at home, I normally order her Carbonara, but today is an exception because she wants to spoil me while I am in the province. She leveraged her passion for cooking to sell her food online because she is a stay-at-home mom. Aside from her delectable Carbonara, she sells other desserts, bread, and pastries to help her husband in saving for their dream home.

I really appreciate her for preparing the food and putting in so much effort. She is one of my friends who were there in times I needed someone to laugh and cry on and our friendship lasted this long without drama or misunderstanding is very rare nowadays.
