Thuja And Burnt Wood

The heat is still persisting, making our life more difficult and if the high temperatures were not enough, drought is also becoming more and more of a problem. My city is not affected yet, there are no water shortages, but in other cities there are restrictions in place already.

Having no water is terrible, not only for the agriculture, but for the population as well. These shortages are going to cost us a lot in the near future, prices are going to suffer a hike if products have to be imported. One problem after another, as if the war caused inflation wasn't enough.

This morning I went to the park, hoping to enjoy some fresh air and see what's going on there. Unfortunately it wasn't the right tie as there was an event going on I knew nothing about and instead of a cool and quiet place, I got a packed and noisy one. The reason I went there was to escape the noise and the heat, but I'm going to have to do it tomorrow morning.

On my way home I saw these beauties and was happy to stop for a moment, admire them and take a few shots. These days, when everything is drying or dry already, I have to appreciate every little miracle life is giving me and today this thuja was the winner.

I've walking past the thuja every day, but I only looked at it carefully today

This is the fruit of the thuja and most likely hold thee seeds as well.

Then I saw this thing, hanging by a spiderweb, swinging left and right because of the breeze. It was a nice thing, but because of the breeze, the camera decided to focus on the stem, instead of the end. Now the whole photo looks out of focus because everyone is expecting the fruit to be sharp. Well, this time it's not.

What comes next is shocking, to say the least. I mean it was a great subject to photograph, but looking at the big picture, it's more than sad. This bush has been set on fire and it's not due to the heat as we don't have that kind of heat yet and these bushes are not that dry.

Knowing that some people are capable of setting bushes on fire in the most prestigious neighborhood is more than sad and worrying.

I took these shots because from photographic point of view it's interesting, but still sad.

So this is what I have for today. One living thing, that actually is thriving, growing fruits, seeds that will grow more plants next year and another one, of which life has been ended by vandals.

This piece has been saved from getting carbonized and you can count the rigs to see how old it is.

We have been enduring heat waves in Spain too and so many wildfires that is heartbreaking. I even made s post like a week ago while visiting the aftermath. We need to care for our planet before it is too late

This heat is terrorizing Europe but it looks like next week will be a bit cooler, almost all days below 30C. And you're right, global warming is becoming a bigger threat than we have ever thought.

I am trying to get this music video done. We have had a few days in our twenties but sunday on it resumes over 36 without having had a drop of rain

It's terrible but what keeps me going is the thought that it won't last forever and with each day passing, there are less and less hot days left.

Well fruit is not in a real sense of the word as I don't think it's edible, but it's still the fruit of the tree.
You most likely have other trees we don't have here :)
