Nature, Tradition And Cultural Heritage On Photos

Back to the exhibition I talked about in my last post, today I'd like to show you more of those amazing photographs that have participated in the photo contest. This round will be a bit different, but just as amazing as the previous one.

Yesterday I forgot to mention that to my surprise, the titles were trilingual, which is starting to be the norm nowadays. It's a very good thing as there are a lot of foreigners besides the locals, not to mention it makes my job easier, even though sometimes I don't agree with the translation.

Flying Mouse

At first glance the title looked funny, then at a better look I saw the mouse. Now put yourself in the shoes of the photographer and imagine catching such an opportunity. And again, I'm wondering how much time he has spent till he could capture this scene.

Gang Of The Unicorn

A very funny title to a superb photo. Apart from the knowledge and equipment you need to capture a photo like this, you need a good dose of luck as well. As you can see, there are tree on the photo, one is looking straight into the camera. These beauties are wild animals and one move is enough to scare them away. Fog is another phenomenon you don't experience too often, unless you're in a foggy area. I think 2nd place in Wildlife category is well deserved. There are real beauties.

On The Trail Of The Forebears

This amazing photo got 3rd place in the Our Cultural Heritage category. I had no idea there's one, but I'm glad there's as cultural heritage is extremely important. For those of you who don't recognize which culture is (which makes 99% of Hive 😃), these are the Huns. I know there are different events organized in Hungary and Transylvania as well, to walk down memory lane and remember the past, but I've never participated in any of these events. These festivals are not only interesting but important from educational point of view. Learning from history books is one thing, but what sticks in your memory is the visual experience. I should put it on my list and look for an available event in the near future. Would be a lot of fun and I could take a lot of interesting photos.

On Target

Archery and falconry were their thing back then. If you have a better look at the previous photo, you can see the warrior on the left has a falcon on his arm. Weapons were very different in those times.

Curbing Of The Champions

Look at the outfit of the warrior. It's exceptional to say the least. I love this series, these photos are special.

Misses

Even though this photo (I mean the original, not mine) may not seem perfect, it's a great one. I don't know if you've ever tried to capture a group of people in constant move. I haven't, but can imagine how difficult it must be. So here the focus must be on one of the misses, the one in green.

20231124_121752a.jpg

Round Dance

I don't know if there are words to describe this photo. Amazing maybe? I was awarded with 1st place in the Our Cultural Heritage category and it is well deserved. It doesn't say where it was taken, but what you see in the photo is a sea of teenagers dressed in Hungarian fold costumes, specific to Transylvania.

20231124_121817a.jpg

Handmade

There were times when everything was handmade. What you see on the photo is two wrinkled hands, carving a flute. And there were times when a flute was all people had to entertain themselves. Those hands have a long and rough history. I could log this photo in the Moments Of Life category.

20231124_121841a.jpg

Csángó Girl

Before I say anything about the photo, let me explain to you what Csángó means.

The Csángós are ethnic Hungarians of Roman Catholic faith living mostly in the Romanian region of Moldavia, especially in Bacău County. The region where the Csángós live in Moldavia is known as Csángó Land. Their traditional language, Csángó, an old Hungarian dialect, is currently used by only a minority of the Csángó population group. source

This photo was a nice surprise for me. (Most likely I would have framed it differently, but since I did not take it, it has to be ok as it is.) I know who the Csángós are and where they live, but to be honest, I've never seen their folk wear. Based on this photo, it must be a nice one. That pendant was another surprise. I saw a similar one this year, when I visited the Fagaras citadel, but that was heritage or Saxons.

Madonna From The Gyimes

Lady in a folk costume from the same region. It's fascinating how different folk costumes are in every region.

Motifs

Another wonderful photo, featuring a piece of cultural heritage. Unfortunately the tradition is on its way of disappearance, but once upon a time, most of the fences and porches were make of carved wood. I love this photo.

Back To The Past

I could not finish my post without this wonderful photo. It's not a secret that I have a thing for old doors and door handles and this is a very nice one. Unfortunately these old beauties are replaced slowly with modern ones that can't even come closer to these in style.

Feel free to drop a comment, let's see which one is your favorite. @dimascastillo90, there are a few for you here as well, let's see which one you like 😀

The cultural photos are exceptional. The Huns and the young dancers. And then just as pure art, Handmade, Motifs and Back to the Past are lovely.

I really appreciate that you always "deal with the reflections of the crystals" to show us in the best way these photos! I know how difficult that is and I think you do something very commendable... :))

As always a wonderful find, an article with excellent images and so integral that the text in addition to commenting on each photographic work, also has glimpses of general knowledge about it... That's nice!...

My favourite here today is "Handmade"... That photo says a lot of things, that photo has a message... In fact, it made me think that I have never photographed people's hands... So maybe I do that thanks to seeing this picture... (Thanks for that too)...

A round of applause for you my dear friend and laudable author!

At least someone appreciated my effort Jesus 😁. It's a huge challenge every single time and some photos I can't even post as it's my silhouette is on it, but I won't give up.

I'm glad you like "Handmade"as it's a very good one. Hands can show you quite a lot and maybe we should focus on hands. It's not the first time I see hands at a photo exhibition and all of them were good.

Again, thank you for the nice words my friend, I always enjoy your comments a lot. Have a nice weekend :)

Gang of The Unicorns, The Flying Mouse, Misses and Handmade are just my favourites but they all are exceptional. Hungary has a rich cultural heritage and they exhibit it for all to see. That's great!

Woow This is a very interesting and varied exhibition. I'm sure I have two favorite photos: "Gang Of The Unicorn", Because of the way the animals are standing, the direction of their gaze and the place where it was taken, the background tones, it's amazing 😍

"Flying Mouse" It's my second favorite, I think it took a few minutes until I could see the mouse 😅 I believe that in addition to being a good photographer, having a lot of patience, after a few shots comes a touch of luck, These photos are unique and it must be very difficult to achieve results like this, I loved it.

But in general terms, all the photos are brilliant! Every time I see these photos in these places it makes me want to go to an exhibition here, I hope I can get one that is really good to show you 🥰

DON'T EVER STOP TAGGING ME, my dear and pretty @erikah 🥰😘

"Gang Of The Unicorn" is a great one and hard to capture.
Don't worry about "Flying Mouse" as I did the same, it took me some time to spot the mouse 😁

But in general terms, all the photos are brilliant! Every time I see these photos in these places it makes me want to go to an exhibition here, I hope I can get one that is really good to show you 🥰

All it takes is to look for exhibition online. I bet there are plenty around you and maybe you can make time. I'd love to see what exhibitions are in your area 😍
