Hoy encontré unos contratiempos que me gustaría mejorar, los marcadores son geniales, pero tienen la punta muy gruesa, quizá si el trazo fuera más delgado el acabado fuera más delicado y prolijo. El nivel de dificultad hoy fue bastante para mí y no entendí, quizá muchos factores influyen, lo bueno de todo es que sirve la práctica y podemos ir mejorando al detectar los fallos.
Estos últimos días han sido algo rudos por aquí, comienza la semana y con altos deseos que todo mejore inyectando buena vibra, así que: mis mejores deseos de que esta semana sea estupenda para todos y muchas bendiciones.

Hello everyone!
Today I ran into a few snags that I’d like to sort out. The markers are great, but the tip is quite thick; perhaps if the line were finer, the finish would be more delicate and neat. Today’s level of difficulty was a bit much for me and I didn’t quite get it – maybe there are lots of factors at play. The good thing is that practice helps, and we can keep improving by spotting our mistakes.
The last few days have been a bit rough round here. The week is starting, and I’m really hoping things will improve by spreading some good vibes, so: my best wishes for a fantastic week for everyone, and many blessings.

Empecé mi proceso creativo en una hoja en blanco, para saber cómo iba a distribuir las flores en la letra, este termina siento entonces nuestro boceto, recomiendo eso para agilizar el proceso y la inspiración.
Luego cubro la letra con la cinta washi, es un paliativo mientras compro la cinta adecuada, esta cinta no se pega tan fuerte como la que usé anteriormente, para evitar desprendimiento de la cartulina.
Luego marqué los bordes con marcador blanco.

I began my creative process on a blank sheet of paper to work out how I was going to arrange the flowers on the letter; this then became our sketch. I recommend doing this to speed up the process and spark inspiration.
I then covered the letter with washi tape; this is a stopgap measure whilst I buy the right tape. This tape doesn’t stick as firmly as the one I used previously, to prevent the card from peeling away.
I then outlined the edges with a white marker.

Nada fácil tratar que no se vean vetas o disparidad de trazo al pintar, pero se hace en varias capas de pintura. Cada una dejando secar.
Luego hice un lineart con marcador negro.
Apliqué unos sombreados y puntos de luz.

It’s not easy to ensure that brushstrokes or variations in line thickness aren’t visible when painting, but this is achieved by applying several layers of paint, allowing each one to dry in between.
I then drew the line art using a black marker.
I added some shading and highlights.

Siguiendo el boceto continúo con el proceso de pintura.
Estos marcadores son tal cual como pintar con pinceles, solo que tiene la punta muy gruesa.
Trato que el line art de cada sección sea un tono más oscuro.
Otra cosa que debemos tener en cuenta es, la pintura del marcador al secarse revela otro tono, a veces más claro, a veces más oscuro.
Casi siempre uso elementos simbólicos en mis creaciones, hoy integré una mariposa, por su simbolismo de transformación, es un arquetipo que me va muy bien en estos momentos de cambios personales.

Following the sketch, I continue with the painting process.
These markers are just like painting with brushes, except that they have a very thick tip.
I try to make the line art in each section a shade darker.
Another thing to bear in mind is that, as the marker paint dries, it reveals a different shade – sometimes lighter, sometimes darker.
I almost always use symbolic elements in my creations; today I included a butterfly, because of its symbolism of transformation; it’s an archetype that suits me very well at this time of personal change.

Creo que la parte más satisfactoria es, luego de terminar y esperar que todo seque bien, desprender la cinta washi para que revele la letra, eso lo hice con una pinza de bisutería.
Por mucho cuidado que tuve, hubo desprendimiento de papel y algunas pinturas se corrieron, pero el marcador negro nos salva el trabajo.

I think the most satisfying part is, once you’ve finished and waited for everything to dry properly, peeling off the washi tape to reveal the lettering – I did this using a pair of jewellery tweezers.
No matter how careful I was, some of the paper came away and a bit of the paint smudged, but the black marker saved the day.

Qué buen detalle A veces un cambio pequeño en el material transforma por completo el acabado. Espero ver pronto ese cambio en tus trazos
This kind of artwork is definitely pretty cool. I really like how you decorated it. I can see the black outline, and it really makes a difference in the drawing. Without it, it doesn't look as nice—at least the flowers look completely different.

La maestría no se construye en la perfección del primer trazo, sino en la honestidad con la que evaluamos nuestros fallos. Es admirable ver cómo transformas el contratiempo en un diagnóstico lógico; esa capacidad de observar el proceso en lugar de solo el resultado es lo que separa a quien simplemente hace, de quien realmente evoluciona.
