再回台灣

我二十多年沒回台灣. 回來是為了奔喪. 我爺爺在七月初的時後去世. 他享年九十五歲. 所以, 這應該算喜喪. 這或許是家族很多人最後一次見面. 我借住在我的小阿姨在新竹的家.
新竹大致上都沒變. 除了眷村地區以外, 大部分的地方我都還記得.
幸好小吃還是一樣. 早上買個油條和小籠包. 在鐵道路上有一家店賣肉包. 十五塊一個.
台灣人隨便停車. 哈哈, 交通規矩.
去去榮民事務所, 因為我爺爺原來是退伍軍人.
也去市政府去辦事. 那些號碼因該是雙關語吧? 520 = 我愛你; 1314 = 一生一世.
跟家人一起去吃火鍋. 在夏天這樣吃覺得有一點奇怪. 不過還是很好吃.
下一次會回來這家. 這家叫新麻辣火鍋, 在新竹巨城.
搭高鐵去台北. 一個小時半以內到達地點.
在台北辦完事後跟一些家族的朋友吃蒙古烤肉.
路過新光三越. 我沒有進去. 我對百貨公司沒有興趣.
也路過台北101. 進去看看, 但是只是另一個騙旅客的百貨櫃台. 有看過就行了.
搭自強號回新竹. 又坐了一個多小時.
從車站走回家. 路過東門城. 比我記憶中好像小了很多.
在去機場之前, 我的阿姨跟我說: "不要因為爺爺和姥姥走了就再也不回家."
我相信我以後會再回去的. 不是明年就是後年.

時間過得好快啊.
是啊、疫情都三年了、好像昨天發生的事、下一次出國應該會去淡水看我乾爸媽了

台灣就是那麼久沒變.

I am sorry to hear about your grandfather. I am sure he was a very wise man for being that age. My salute goes to him for his service to Taiwan as well. Fair winds and following seas to his spirit.
Seeing the fried food makes me want to try it. Then seeing the Mongolian BBQ, well, I got to find a place around here for some now.
When you return in a year or so, I do hope it is under better circumstances.

Yeah, it's been a weird one. It's been acting up and down since late June.
I still get an occasional cough when I try to sing today.
