ORIGIN AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Hello everyone, my name is Emediong Ekanem. I'm a 22 year old lady who is currently in her final year in the University of Uyo, Uyo,Akwa Ibom State. I'm studying English and Literary Studies in the above mentioned University. It may be of great interest to you to know that I am fun loving, talented, proudly a grammarian and a very good cook.

I'm a native of Ikot Mfon in Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. I reside in Uyo Local Government Area with my parents but I'm currently staying in the school's hostel for a better concentration on my studies. I obtained my first school leaving certificate from the City of God Nursery and Primary School, Uyo. I was later admitted into a private school with a difference which is The Nigerian Christian Institute (NCI) were I obtained my O' level results(WAEC and NECO).

I however sat for JAMB and seeked for admission in some higher institutions so as to further my education and I was lucky to be admitted into the prestigious UNIVERSITY OF UYO in 2017 which I am now close to finishing.

HOBBIES AND PASSION

I am a culinary mistress by passion and I prepare all kinds of foreign and traditional delicacies including fries and baked foods. Since I run a restaurant here are some of the meals I prepared some time ago.

Afang soup is our traditional soup that is usually served in every organized occasion. The preparation steps are quite simple, I will talk more on that on my next post in the food community here on hive. I also love cycling and swimming 🏊 but during my first swimming attempt I gulped down water to stupor.I love sports and games too like; football, basketball, races, badminton, ludo, whot, etc because it keeps me flexible and fit and it also gives me a healthy brain.

Doing stuffs that gives glory to God is of great interest to me. I love musics, most especially contemporary ones. So, I'm a choir mistress of my church's youth choir and also a backup singer in my church. I also love dancing and I know if I improve my dancing skills by learning more, it will be next to none.

LIKES AND DISLIKES

The world can actually be a better place if we have more of positive minded persons, therefore, I dislike negativity, discrimination in general and pretence. I love being an inspiration to people because by so doing, I'm also inspiring myself.

MY KNOWLEDGE ON CRYPTOCURRENCIES

Although I do have a slight knowledge of the basic terms of cryptocurrencies like: Bitcoin, Proof of Work, Blockchain, Proof of Stake, etc but with HIVE, I know my knowledge bank will increase tremendously. I will be focused on sharing inspiring writings about the parts of crypto I know and the once I will learn in the course of me being a part of this platform. I'm also out to share with us my culinary skills and the other talents embedded in me.

HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT HIVE

I was introduced to this wounderful platform by a great friend, @dave-estates, who also delegated some HP to me. I have explored the platform and with the little I have seen , I am convinced that there is a lot to learn here and I will try my best to also be sharing some of my contents here. Thank you for having me🖤

Hello @emyekanem! This is @traciyork from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive and introduced yourself to the community - congratulations and welcome!

Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out - Hive Communities.

Also, as Hive can sometimes be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide is a growing repository of useful and easy to understand posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.

Please be aware that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog, so it is important not to include content that you don't own without sources (and it shouldn't exceed 50% of the post). For more information, check this post - Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise by hivewatchers.

In addition, since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.

I'm sure @dave-estates will continue to help you as you begin your Hive journey, but if you have any questions, feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server and we'll do our best to answer them, and again welcome to Hive!
