My Five Favorite Entries Of the Year

I feel really excited to be part of those celebrating this one year anniversary, I consider it a great privilege. I would love to start by saying a big happy one year anniversary to Hive Learners weekly featured contest. This community is going higher, going by how fast the growth of the community's featured post is, one might think as if it has already been there for decades. When you see a good fruit, you can easily predict how the plant that produced it, is. I am fully convinced that Hive Learners community will bring light to hive and would excel far beyond our biggest expectations.

Without any Ado I would love to go straight to the prompt of this week, stay tuned . Below I would be talking about my five favorite entries and what motivated me to participate in the contest. There are just so many of the good entries, I don't just know which one to even select, nevertheless here are few

When I first saw the topics for that edition, (week51e1) I was so thrilled and was very eager to participate in the contest because it reminded me of one of the important persons in my life. The topic for the contest was first encounter, I never really thought I was going to make a friend that will eventually mean a lot to me because I am the kind of person that doesn't like being around people. But miraculously, it happened, this very edition brought back the memory fresh to me . I got to understand that in life, several things don't happen because we refuse to give them the chance, but if we decide to try them out, they will come alive.

In that very contest, I spoke about friendship, we know that our friends define who we are, they are like the wind that helps to make fire on a dry bush catch and spread very well, we ought to be very careful in selecting our friends else we can fall into the wrong hands. I also spoke about how I met my good friend Abraham, back then in high school.

Writting on that topic was easy for me because it was something that came from experience and also what I cherish, I really enjoyed writing it to be honest. There was a special kind of joy that was just springing up within me that that day that I can't explain, you know that feeling that comes from doing what you love.🥰 You can read the post above for more information.

week 52 edition 1 contest was mind blowing, it was all about Parenting. Being a parent is something that most of are going to land into some day, though some are already in the system. A lot is happening in the world today, we see people displaying different kinds of characters. Some bad, some good. All these are the products of the kind of training we got from our homes. A popular saying goes; charity begins at home.

Seeing how our community is turning and gradually walking into darkness, I feel there should be a need to enlighten us that we are responsible for all this, if we train up our kids well and instill the fear of God in them, I am sure some of the things we are seeing today wouldn't have been alarming like it is.

It was out of grief that I wrote this very edition, I remember how I was raised, though my parents were good but I was given so much space to explore that I ended up almost going the wrong way. Since we are all going to be parents by God's grace, someday, I felt there is a need for us to know the limits to the liberty we give our children.

While growing up, we experienced a lot from our parents.There were some funny attitudes they showed to us that really affected us, those none of us would like our kids to experience because of what we experienced. On this very edition titled pressure(week48 Edition 03) I was moved to write because pressure is something all of us go through in one way or the other, especially in our society today where a lot is happening. There is a lot of difficulties everywhere, people are going through a lot. There is always a temptation for one to begin to feel like going the other way inorder to succeed or survive. Especially financially, and we are in the days where young men are willing to do anything to get money. Unfortunately, they are really getting the money through the wrong way. And because they don't know the value of the money the squander it anyhow.

The innocent man who tries to stay away from such trend now looks like an old school and the unseriousn type. You know it is not easy to see yourself struggling and suffering while a person of your age, is there wallowing in abundance, there's always a urge to join the queue.

On this post I wrote about how I overcome the pressure that I face. The reason why we are intimidated by what goes around in the world today is because we lack contentment, if we would be satisfied with what we have and we keep working on ourselves like I said in this post I know that one day, things will be better, we would also get there . From fiction to life (week49e1) I am a fan of superhero movies, one of my favorites actor is Spiderman, when I saw the prompt, I didn't hesitate to start writing because it was like asking me to tell you about my favorite meal. It's something I love and I would like to convince others to believe me that what I love is the best hehe😁

On this post I wrote how that if I was given the ability to bring to reality a super hero, I would bring spider Man. Besides the fact that I love him, I am also moved by his love and compassion to save his loved ones and ensuring that the world is a better place for people to live in. Opportunities lost, Opportunity found (week 50E2) Opportunities are like winds, we can't tell where they came from, if not grasp they can easily slip off our hands. I so much love this edition too. As humans we are bound to miss some opportunities and grasps others, all these happen for our good but not all opportunities are meant to be lost, we also need to be careful so that we don't loose what ought not to be lost because some can not be recovered.

I also wrote about how I lost an opportunity to get a job due to financial issue, but God made another way out. As humans we ought not give up , because when one door closes another will open, it will only take time but while we wait, we must never forget to keep building ourselves.
