Tijerazo Margarita [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Espero que muy bien. Yo por aquí muy bien, gracias a Dios. Un poco desaparecida porque la verdad es que estos días han sido de mucho estrés y no he estado conectada como tal. Saben que son los días de mi graduación y ando como una loquita; de hecho, hoy ni siquiera he podido dormir bien, pero tenemos que empezar primero con los primeros detalles para poder llegar al tema.

Saben que yo no le había hecho la maravillosa pregunta que tenía que haberle hecho desde un principio a mi papá, que si tenía algo para ponerse el día de mi graduación, y yo no se la había hecho, pero resulta que cuando se la hice, recibí la respuesta que yo por dentro esperaba, que era no; o sea, sí le tenía miedo a la respuesta, pero la verdad es que no me asombro por nada, eso ya yo lo he sospechado desde un principio.

Hi there, how are you all? I hope you’re doing well. I’m doing great here, thank goodness. I’ve been a bit out of the loop because, to be honest, these last few days have been really stressful and I haven’t been online much. You know my graduation is coming up and I’m going a bit crazy; in fact, I didn’t even sleep properly last night, but we need to start with the basics so we can get to the point.

You know I hadn’t asked my dad the crucial question I should have asked him right from the start – whether he had anything to wear on my graduation day – and I hadn’t asked him, but it turns out that when I did ask, I got the answer I’d been dreading deep down, which was no; I mean, I was afraid of the answer, but the truth is it doesn’t surprise me at all – I’d suspected as much from the start.

El problema de comprar la ropa de a mi papá es que mi papá es muy alto y eso hace que todas las ropas sean mega grande igual con los zapatos y la verdad es que eso para mí fue un dolor de cabeza muy grande, yo empecé buscando por el centro porque ese siempre ha sido nuestro lugar seguro de que somos pequeños siempre nos hemos oído para allá a comprar, pero la verdad es que caminé y recorrí tantas tiendas ese día y no conseguí nada para la talla de mi papá y lo que realmente conseguía estaba muy costoso para lo que realmente era porque no me gustaba nada tampoco.

The problem with buying clothes for my dad is that he’s really tall, which means all his clothes are huge – the same goes for his shoes – and to be honest, that was a real headache for me. I started looking in the city centre because that’s always been our go-to place; ever since we were little, we’ve always gone there to shop, but the truth is I walked around and visited so many shops that day and couldn’t find anything in my dad’s size, and what I did find was far too expensive for what it was, because I didn’t like any of it either.

Pero también tengo que reconocer que yo hice mal porque mi hermana me dijo que en tijerazo del sambil pero yo no le presté atención a eso sino que yo buscando economía me fui para el centro pero la verdad es que después me arrepentí muchísimo y cuando llegué a tijerazo había muchas ofertas especialmente en camisas más larga de caballero y había de todas las tallas porque hasta para mi papá consegui además de eso ellos tienen cachea y está en buen precio quedaban en 7 dólares cada una también conseguí zapatos pero como eran de talla 42 no le iban a servir, pero me gusta mucho tijerazo. Porque Tijerazo tiene de todo, tiene tacitas y muchas otras cositas de las que luego hablaremos en otro post, pero este post lo hice con la intención de que viene el Día del Padre y dice que quizás estas pueden ser unos buenos regalos para ese día. But I have to admit that I made a mistake, because my sister told me to go to Tijerazo in Sambil, but I didn’t pay any attention to her. Instead, trying to save money, I went into the city centre, but to be honest, I really regretted it afterwards. When I got to Tijerazo, there were loads of bargains, especially on longer men’s shirts, and they had every size – I even managed to find some for my dad. On top of that, they have ‘Cachea’ and it’s good value; they were at $7 each. I also found some shoes, but as they were size 42, they wouldn’t have fit him, but I really like Tijerazo. Because Tijerazo has everything – it has little cups and lots of other bits and bobs that we’ll talk about in another post later – but I wrote this post with Father’s Day coming up in mind, thinking that perhaps these could make good gifts for the day.
