A Walk with the Pooch at Ashover Rock, Derbyshire

I had a walk around Ashover Rock with a friend and her dog today.

The rock is a gritstone boulder. There is a gentle walk around the perimeter.

On a good day there are some lovely views from the top.

We followed the footpath and did a small circular walk. We didn't see many people about. It's quite popular with dog walkers but it was fairly quiet today.

We went into the field nearby, so that Mr Lurcher could be let off the lead to have a run around as there was nobody else about.

I think spring was in the air as he was more content in having a roll around on the grass.

After he'd finished rolling we headed off back home.
