Monomad - Crescent

Hey dear Hive friends, I wish you all a pleasant evening and hope you had an exciting day! In this post I would like to present black and white pictures and this is my entry for the #monomad challenge by @monochromes.

Here you can see an object that comes to light even without much editing in a natural black and white look, the moon. The moon is currently increasing and about 45% to be seen, a good time to write something about the interesting symbolism of the crescent.

The crescent moon can be found in the symbolism of the Alchemy and is associated with silver, the old alchemists thought silver was associated with the moon. Another typical symbol of the crescent is fertility and is also often seen as a sign of positive growth and creativity, also it is often associated with religions.

By the way, the next full moon is on April 6 and this moon is also called Pink Moon and is associated with healing and the zodiac sign Libra. Now I want to come back to the crescent and symbolically it should be known to everyone, you often see it on different flags and also at ambulance it is a well-known recognition symbol.
