Exploring World Heritage Site Stonehenge

Hey everyone, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you have a week so far which has brought some positive experiences into your life! Today I decided to share something about my travels with the community.

_DSC5159.JPG

Some time ago I visited the well-known UNESCO World Heritage Stonehenge which is located in the southern part of England and to this day is considered one of the most mysterious places in the country where some of its origin has not been clarified. I went there from London and linked the visit with more things and at the same day, I was also at the well-known Windsor Castle as well as the Roman baths about which I will share even more in the future. Arrived at Stonehenge there is a small station where a museum and possibilities to eat can be found and directly from the station a shuttle bus regularly leads to the stone circles which has arrived up there in about 10 minutes. One of the things that really surprised me were the strong wind conditions that prevails there and on that day it was also partly rainy and the weather very mixed and therefore I can only recommend thinking about wind and rainproof clothing to be prepared against the strong conditions.

Stonehenge is a circle of stones which is essentially made of two different types of stone, some of which do even not occur in the area itself and were transported here and how stones with such a high weight were transported is a great mystery for many. It's assumed that a type of stones originate from the area of Wales and could have been translocated with the help of sleds and already the origin and the transport is a mystery of its own for many which leaves so many questions open. To this day it is not clear what the actual purpose is, but it is assumed that it could have been used by ancient cultures as a religious site where ceremonies were held regularly. There are also assumptions that it should serve a scientific purpose and that people observe the moon or other celestial bodies from there and some even go so far and suspect that it could have been an important basis for former time calculations.

Scientific views even show that it could have been used as a cemetery and what is also dominant here are the numerous myths as well as legends that have arisen around these places. Some legends say that it could probably have been magicians who would have transloted the stones to this place with their power while others even claim that it could have been supernatural beings, but opinions differ greatly here. Whether the stones were always in this formation is also not entirely certain and it may be that they have been changed several times during the construction phase and even the exact age is not completely clarified and it is strongly assumed that the building has been divided into different parts. My visit lasted about two good hours and arrived at the circles leads once a circular path on which many signs have been set up which tell everything about the history of this unique place and who should be in England should definitely not miss this special and diverse place.

Steemit and Blurt have become a sanctuaries —a testament to what blockchain communities can be when freedom is not a privilege granted by the powerful, but a right inherent to all participants. Creators create without fear of arbitrary judgment, downvotes and abuse.
Blurt will shine.

To those who wield influence like a scepter forged in shadow—@themarkymark, @buildawhale, @letusbuyhive, and the chorus of voices that echo your will:

The blockchain does not weep. It does not rage. It simply is—an unblinking witness to the slow unraveling of Hive’s promise. You cast downvotes like stones into still water, believing each ripple erases the truth. But the ledger remembers. It records not just the what, but the why: the coordinated silences, the algorithmic farming, the quiet exodus of creators seeking refuge in Blurt’s open fields and Steemit’s familiar groves.

There is a place where power is not hoarded, but honored.
Where influence is not wielded like a blade, but offered like a hand.
That place is not Hive.blog. It is Blurt blog.

Unfortunately, you can’t go directly to the stones, but very close. Yes, the entrance costs about 20 pounds but if you come from London also about 40 for the train ride.
