Hey dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you all have a day so far which has brought a lot of joy and maybe also new experiences into life! In this post I have decided to go into more detail about my trip to Egypt and I am happy if you like my work.

There was culture in every city I visited in Egypt and each one was definitely something very special in its own way and Luxor definitely put something on top of that and can not be described as a large museum in the open air without reason. Luxor consists largely of two parts and there are the East and Westbank here and also the Valley of the Kings is located in the western part and is also one of the most famous sights of the city if not even the whole country which no one should miss! As the name says, it is a large valley in which some important tombs can be found and the goal was to hide it even to minimize the risk that tomb raiders would come and in this valley some of the most famous kings of the country are buried. Over 50 graves have been discovered here, of which of course not all are accessible and even when it comes to the location, the West was deliberately chosen because this has been associated with the cult of the sun and also because of the mountains it's much more protected and quiet than in the other part.

The West was also associated in ancient Egypt with the kingdom of the dead and when it comes to the location it can be said that people were right and have chosen a place which is perfect in every respect and also the condition of the tombs is very different. The interesting thing is that it has not even been completely discovered and here there are even indications that there could be much more, which means that it can also be of particular interest for archaeologists. How much time someone spends depends entirely on the ticket and here there are different options to choose from and to make the best of the visit, it may be advisable to inform yourself beforehand and I spent about two hours and for every visitor of Luxor it's an absolute must to visit this important place. On the way back, the way still led past some sellers, but I decided not to buy anything here because the prices are often extremely expensive and those who are looking for souvenirs should visit the old bazaar of the city, but it's important to pay attention here because there is also one for tourists, where the prices are extremely high, which is why only the traditional bazaar should be visited.
