Zapfic50 - “Dull”
If the blade had been sharp, it would have slid in when she struck. Instead it bounced off him, barely even leaving a scratch. As an attempted murderer she stood a better chance of one day rejoining society than a successful murderer. She still felt the stinging shame of defeat.
I was going to alter this story a bit after checking the word count but it was 50 on the dot the first try so maybe this is exactly how it was meant to be.
