How many days
Have gone by?
Really
Has it been so many
Is it truly almost over
Are we really
At the brink
On the verge
Of another one
Soon this one
Will be
Yesteryear too
After all
Isn't that
What they all do
One day
Given enough time
They all turn into
Things we've done
Gone, gone, gone
But remembered
Goodbye Decembers
The page turns
In our life books
Closing off this chapter
If we're lucky
What comes after
Is another one
Until that book is done
And now we count
Down
To more good times
Down
To less cares
Down
To more peace
Down
To the best
Ever of new years
Or even
Just
Another one

There's less than a week left in 2022 so I'm looking back and I feel...hopeful. I mean, there are reasons to be worried, I won't list them out right now but they exist. I guess that despite those worrisome things, I still think/hope/believe things can turn out OK.

I'll try to use what's left of 2022 wisely and plan well for a good start to 2023.
