EDS Mini Miner (EDSMM)

Over 13,000 of 25,000 EDSMM have been sold and sales continue at a steady pace. Savers are looking at a current income of nearly 28% APY - how about that? (Remember that income will change over time: @eddie-earner has given some simulations about that so you can plan your future income against your budget).

You can also buy your EDSMMs directly from the @eddie-earner account, saving you the 1% fees to deposit and withdraw from Hive-Engine. We have tried to set up recurring payments but in a test we found the code wasn't able to pick up repeat payments - we'll keep working to find a way round that. Meanwhile, you can still do one-off purchases by transferring HIVE to @eddie-earner.

There are 480 chances to win in the lottery every 24 hours with just 1 HIVE.

Saturday Savers Club is going to be giving away EDSMMs from now until the end of the year. These are sponsored by @shanibeer. Each For your chance to win, take part in each of the contests as they come up in the Saturday Savers Post.

EDSMM Contests

Last week, eight Saturday Savers told us about their favourite tokens.
This post won the EDSMM:

LOLZ - one of my fav hive layer 2 coins by @hoosie.

Hurrah! @hoosie - Check your Wallet!

THIS WEEK'S CONTEST

@acidyo posted about applying to the OCD programme as an onboarder - what ideas have you got about onboarding people to Hive or the Saturday Savers Club?

Drop your ideas in a comment below for a chance to win an EDS Mini Miner.

New - Have you seen Stock Images?

Have you seen this post about Stock Images - great free resources that you can use for your posts.

New Saturday Savers Club Feature: Discord Chat

Join us for chat about savings and investments: https://discord.gg/RQZubGeeTH

Ground Rules:

  • The SPI family motto is Get Rich Slowly. This covers EDS and EDSM, the home tokens for the Saturday Savers Club, as well as SPI, LBI and CL. The bottom line is that we are looking for well-researched options which bring a steady income. Good options will have an identifiable and easily accessible team (with emphasis on more than one person involved), a clear plan and use case for the token, and transparency and accountability through regular reporting.
  • Individual members are free (of course they are) to publish guides to tokens under their own account - and any number of members can do that.

LARYNX and RAGNAROK - Have You Claimed Your Airdrops?

Source

The LARYNX airdrop continues for the next five months - remember to claim each month. Check how to do it in this post. Are you holding or selling your LARYNX? Tell us your plans in the comments below. You can do this automatically using Hivesigner.

Check the RAGNAROK Air Drop in this post.

EDS and EDSM Queries

The quickest way to get any queries about payments resolved is to post a message in the #eddie-earner channel of the SPinvest discord: https://discord.gg/RQZubGeeTH and tag @silverstackeruk. Most problems that happen are technical bugs and are quickly resolved once we know about them. Housekeeping for @eddie-earner, EDS, EDSM and EDSMM is usually done on Monday UTC.

365 Day Savings Challenge

It's Week 30 on our savings plan and we've added and powered up 14.07 HIVE to @susie-savers wallet - we're up to 209.10 HIVE already plus curation rewards! ๐Ÿค‘

EDS for Comments

We had comments from eight savers. Everyone went into the Wheel of Names and we have two winners: @chaosmagic23 and @ericburgoyne - hurrah! check your wallets.

Savings Goals

We've added some more savings goals and savings posts to the table. Leave a comment below with a link if you've done a savings post or settled on your savings goals for this year - it can take a while to decide your aims, so take your time and let us know when you're ready ๐Ÿ˜

Happy Saturday Saving Day everyone!

Im not really sure the best way to onboard people, but I have been putting the banner on my Saturday posts and publish also on Read.cash and Publish0x so hopefully it may attract more people to SSC and Hive!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Some good ideas there @mypathtofire. What sort of responses do you get to your banners, especially off Hive?

I don't get too many responses but when I do, some people find understanding how Hive works not so easy or they see it as quite a bit of work and put it off for later.

Wow another week gone already. Well this week I picked up some more EDSMM miners, and bought some more CL life tokens on the market for cheap, and I just do not understand folks that sell good tokens when prices go down. I do not think I ever will, but it is great for me as I buy cheap and if I sell I sell high. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Till next week keep saving!!

Many thanks for the EDSMM - thats really appreciated !!

In respect of savings, this week I pushed on Starbits and bought over 500K, so that I could apply for a Rising Star millionaires card - so I was quite delighted about that. I also bought into LBI to help with generating LEO for LPUD. Full weekly report can be found here:
https://leofinance.io/@hoosie/saturday-savers-club-progress-week-18-23-07-22-hp-starbits-and-lbi

In terms of onboarding, I often notice posts from a number of people on #leofinance looking at weekly goals, that are not in the sat savers club. We could comment on their posts with the suggesting of checking out sat savers.

And externally, another option could be PublishOx. There are many that post regular weekly and monthly crypto accumulation/savings posts. Again creating sign post comments there, and or a regular sat savers article on PublishOx could be a good idea.

I hope that helps !

Hello to all Saturday Savers!

This week I finally published my article about joining the club and setting out my goals.
https://leofinance.io/@coquicoin/joining-the-saturday-savers-club

I have just joined the savers club, but I have included the banner and links to information so that those of my followers who might be interested can check the info and hopefully join the club.
And as for onboarding for Hive. I think the biggest contribution we can make is to talk about the benefits of Hive in other networks where we are active.

I hope you all have a great week :)

Congratulations to the winners. I haven't done too much this week but I will have enough HBD for my monthly HBD add though.

Congrats @hoosie on your win!

I actually was just reading the post about being an onboarder with the OCD program. I was thinking of trying it, but I don't have many friends who I think would join in. I got a few to try it back in the Long Ago Times on the Blockchain That Shall Not Be Named, but after a few months they all left, and one more tried to sign up here but had a technical difficulty and hasn't tried again. I don't seem to be very successful at onboarding, lol.

What ideas have you got about onboarding people to Hive or the Saturday Savers Club?

I ponder this often. Hive is so utterly amazing (to me), for a whole host of reasons, that it's you'd think people would be flocking here. Onboarding is one issue, yet user retention is equally important. Some very interesting and surprising stats that I saw recently were that the loss of active users on Hive was consistently 30-40%; never going below 30%, and never going above 40%. That is a huge degree of loss!

From my perspective, any truly effective onboarding program would need a strong support system, where new users are not only brought to the blockchain, but also taken under the wings of experienced and willing Hivers; something of mentoring program.

I've been slowly finding and bookmarking every really good, useful newbie guide that I can find, with the intention of integrating all the information, and adding to it what I have learned myself in the time I've been here, into one coherent onboarding and newbie guide. I've been thinking about doing this for a while now. I just need to decide on the best manner of delivery. I also need do make time for it.

Onboarding people to the Saturday Saver's Club would seem quite a bit easier by comparison, as it would behoove anyone who learns about it to get involved. I'll start reblogging the Saturday Saver's Club posts when they're published.

Anyway, that's my two HIVE for the moment. ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ’š

Did you read @acidyo's post linked above? There is a framework to help onboarders support new users, and I have a feeling there is also a platform with all the types of resources that you are talking about - let me see if I can find the name.

I'm embaressed to say that I didn't read it initially. I just finished it now, and yes, they definitely seem to have a well-thought-out and well-designed program. When I get a bit more experience here myself, then I may indeed apply to be an onboarder.
