Growing Ube in Farm: Inspired by My Brother's Passion in Farming Ube

Hello, everyone! Today, I want to share about the ube growing in our family.
My brother already has an ube farm, and I always enjoy seeing his healthy harvest. As for me, I am just starting to grow ube in my backyard. The funny thing is, some ube has already started growing in different corners of my garden. It seems they spread on their own, and I was happy to discover them while checking my plants. Instead of removing them, I decided to let them grow.

I believe we don't need a big farm to enjoy planting ube. Even a small backyard is enough to grow this wonderful crop. Ube grows well in loose soil, with enough sunlight and regular watering. It also needs something to climb, so the vines can grow strong and healthy. It takes patience, but the harvest is always worth waiting for.

Aside from being delicious, ube is also good for our health. It is rich in fiber, which helps with digestion. It also contains antioxidants that help protect our body and provide vitamins and minerals for overall health.

One of my favorite treats made from ube is ube halaya. It is sweet, creamy, and perfect for sharing with family and friends. Fresh ube from the garden makes it even more special. It can also be used in cakes, bread, ice cream, and many other desserts.

Gardening always brings me joy. Every plant reminds me that good things take time to grow. Even if I am only starting my own ube garden, I am excited to watch it grow and harvest more in the future. Every small step in gardening is a blessing, I hope it turns successful someday.

I've never eaten the ube, but it looks delicious and I love the colors of this veggie. ❤️
Ube is a root crop that is similar (but not related) to sweet potato. In English it is called "purple yam".

Good to know, thanks! ❤️
I love it! That's great! You get to enjoy the fruit of your own hands. I really want to establish my own garden as well. Hopefully this year, I can do that. Thanks for your post. So inspiring.
Thank you! Let's start planting ube in our backyard after 2 years we will harvest it. Let's go!
It’s wonderful to see how family influence can spark dedication to agriculture.
