A Place Where Faith, Service, and Fellowship Renew My Heart and Inspire Me to Keep Serving with Love

Hello everyone!
Sundays are for sleeping a little longer, enjoying a slow morning, and catching up on rest. But for me, some Sundays are also about showing up, serving, learning, and reminding myself why I said yes to serving in the church.

Being a church officer while balancing online work, family responsibilities, and everyday life is not always easy. There are days when my schedule looks like a puzzle with no empty space left! Sometimes I think, “Can I really squeeze this into my schedule?” But somehow, I always find a way. And every time I make it to church, I feel grateful that I did.

This Sunday, I visited Notre Dame of Tacurong Boys for our meeting. This place has become special to me because it is where we, as church officers, gather to plan, share ideas, and prepare for upcoming celebrations and activities. Of course, meetings are not always just about serious discussions. There are also laughs, stories, catching up, and those little moments that make serving together more enjoyable.

As we talked about the upcoming fiesta, church celebrations, and different activities, I realized something: serving is not about having a perfect schedule. It is about having a willing heart.

Sometimes, I feel drained. Sometimes, I have work waiting for me, responsibilities at home, and a long list of things to accomplish. But when I remember why I started serving, my heart feels lighter.
When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming a nun. I even wanted to take the entrance examination because I wanted to dedicate my life to serving God. That dream did not happen, and for a long time, I wondered why.

Now, I think maybe God simply had a different plan for me.
Maybe I was not meant to serve Him inside a convent. Perhaps He wanted me to serve Him right where I am with my family, my community, and our church.
During our meeting, our priest shared a message that made me look at my responsibilities differently. What sometimes feels like a heavy load can actually be a beautiful opportunity to grow, help others, and strengthen my faith.

So this Sunday, I went home not only with a busy schedule ahead—but with a renewed heart and fresh motivation.
Life may keep us busy, tired, and sometimes overwhelmed. But if something gives your heart peace and purpose, don't be afraid to make time for it.

Serve when you can. Help when you are able. Give what you have. And most importantly, serve with love.

Because sometimes, the greatest blessings come from simply saying, “Yes, Lord. I am willing.”
